Hi Guys,
Can I know whether the interests of these FD will be paid out monthly? UOB 13 month FD -3.9 or 3.95% OCBC - 24 months - effective rate 4% Btw, HLB junior FD also having quite a good rate. 3.85% - 1 year FD or 3.95% for 2 year FD. End Dec 2014. Believe interests paid out monthly. Check out their website. Cheers! |

QUOTE(HJebat @ Sep 3 2014, 11:54 PM) Why you didn’t place for the 5% FD + 3% SA? Really good deal wor… I did not have much money at that time; and I was also worried this and worries thatabout MBSB.. QUOTE(HJebat @ Sep 3 2014, 11:54 PM) Can expect a different open house by HLB vs BR (not to say makan is main priority la). I think better not to attend so that can skip to explore ourselves in public and also to avoid the risk of ambush.. BR – sure to have food to satisfy your Malay cuisine cravings HLB – sure to have mooncakes on display but need to purchase to fulfill your yearning *Based on my experience…might be branch related affair* QUOTE(HJebat @ Sep 3 2014, 11:54 PM) I’m leaning toward that person that you have spoken with...it is unlikely that MBSB will raise its 4.70% rate. There is simply no other intitutions that offer rate that can compete with it. MBSB’s main rival should be BR’s 5-year 4.40%. Warrior, in my opinion, if MBSB takes another 3 more years to merge with RHB and CIMB, the raise or fall of 4.7% isSo there is nothing to incite MBSB to increase the 4.70%...my POV la…could be way off the mark possible based on the OPR change in near future. You are right, MBSB always like to say their 4.7% is still the best rate for 5 years in the market... |

QUOTE(giko @ Sep 5 2014, 10:36 AM) Yes, that's true but I wouldn't want to place ALL of my $$$ into the 5-year FD. Otherwise I'll be out of the FD game for 5 long years... I have the same view...have to distribute $$$ to various FD tenure. Currently, I'm aiming for FDs that come with at least 4% rate.FD that is less than 4% + CASA combo is "unproductive" QUOTE(giko @ Sep 5 2014, 06:21 PM) looks like the CIMB-RHB-MBSB merger is going through! = http://www.therakyatpost.com/business/2014...fidential-info/ Can't seem to find the article |
