QUOTE(kimyee73 @ Jun 23 2014, 02:43 PM) Most likely DCA at fault especially if you start DCA with rm100 instead of initial rm1000. After full year, only your initial investment of rm100 benefit from full year return, the rest are not. You can't start with Rm100. Min for most funds is Rm1,000.

They are good enough for my portfolio too balance my risk profile and regional exposure. Nothing wrong if to conservative or aggressive. All depends to individual risk profile, age and objectives.

QUOTE(mr_nobigdeal @ Jun 24 2014, 03:40 PM) hi guys, i'm new here and I want to start invest using my EPF first and alrdy submitted the form last week. One quick question, are all funds either EPF or cash required minimum subsequent amount after you start investing and how does the thing work? Thanks Yes.. from FSM main page, just go to the drop box top right to select the fund you want to know. From there you can see what is the min subsequent investment amount. Normally it is RM100. If not, when you place order for a particular fund, if your amount is less then min subsequent amount of the fund. Then your order will not go through.

QUOTE(joylay83 @ Jun 23 2014, 02:46 AM) Anybody planning to go cash heavy soon? I see FD rates gradually going up. Seems like recession brewing... Exit and top up lumsum when stock market crash? Not sure why I should be paying them another 2% but cash heavy is never the answer, look for other markets to be in

Should I exit the fund and take profits first? what u guys think? what is yr initial purpose if buying UT? is there a thought of invest for longer terms or take profits when there is a chance? what goes up,....may continue to do so.... what stayed flat...may continue to do so.... what went down....may continue to do so too..... if you like...take profit and move to the next region/sector/countries that has better growth opportunities...
