Alhamdulillah... 😊
However, it is really hard to find a case, except for the one I've shown.
Considering ordering from China, unless anyone know any shop selling Lumia 930 cases recently.

Did anyone try the Windows 10 technical preview on the 930? I tried it and it nearly bricked my phone. Somehow, the installation was incomplete because when i turned on my phone, I get a continuous "loading" screen and no desktop. Luckily I manage to restore back to Windows Phone 8.1 using Windows Phone Recovery Tool just now. If not, I will be out shopping for a phone today! I am still trying to figure out what happened but possibly cold be the phone ran out of battery during the final stages of the installation (data being migrated stage) but I wasn't sure as I left my phone on its own. Anyway, I will not try this again. Shall wait for the final release of Windows 10.

QUOTE(mrl @ May 11 2015, 02:10 PM) Here's what I usually do when I send any phones for warranty claims. *nothing Why? All thing that's important to me is uploaded to the cloud automatically and what I left in the phone is something that I can afford to lose; which is the reason why I chose Windows Phone, OneDrive is available out of the box (and appear as local folder) in all of my machine without the need to download and setup this and that... as for backup phones, I'm the kind of guy who has few phones right now but, you can just buy few bucks simcard adapter to fit into your old phones rather than spending hundreds for new temporaries... Last time I bought one set of simcard adapters (has every single simcard size from nano -> micro -> normal) for around 20 ringgit iinm Dude, wanna ask. What bout your contacts, messages, photos, etc. Do you just leave them? Aren't you worried that the service people might take a look at your personal stuff or even "curi" your contacts, photos, or anything?

I got notification that there's Windows 10 Technical Preview (10.0.12562.84) even though I have opt out (leave the program) from Windows Insider program previously. That's weird.

But that's why they don't advise us to try the Technical Preview on our main phone. It's risky because anything can bug out or go wrong at this stage. A lot safer to set it up on a backup phone if you're really keen on trying it out. Maybe buy one of the compatible lower range Lumia?

I ordered mine (2nd link) and waiting for delivery. It's quite long though, 14-16 working days as it is imported upon order. The case looks cool and durable. But hopefully it is reliable

I dont usually keep sensitive info on the phone, so nothing much can be used against me unless people want to cast some sort of spell using the photos. As for contacts, at most they can only use them to spam others; again, not my worries

1. Anybody's using power bank here? Which brand/model would you recommend especially to be used with our L930? I'm thinking of Xiaomi power bank 16000mAh. Nokia/Microsoft power bank do exist right? Any reviews on those? Feedback would be appreciated.
2. Any good news portal/app you guys would recommend? I'm currently using "News" app which comes with L930 pre-installed. It's not bad, but more often than not, the pictures and links don't appear and all I see is plain text. Need a better app than "News".
Cheers!

My 10000mAh somehow charge the phone very slowly, not sure power bank problem or that specific model really charge that slow. I have no problem before with my old Androids with that power bank. But worry not that most power bank that can output 1.2A is fast enough to charge the phone. 2. Windows Central app is good if you want to follow news about Windows/Microsoft ecosystem ranging from Windows Phone, Windows OS and Xbox. Others, I use News as well but I still get pictures. Perhaps the network in your area is not fast enough?

Seems like a myth but I'd like somebody to technically clarify before I go for the bigger size power banks. Planning to get either the Xiaomi 16000mAh or the 10400mAh one, cannot decide which one. It seems that the 16000 one charging time is about 9 hours (i'm talking about charging the power bank, not charging ur phone from the power bank), and since our L930 is only 2420mAh, the 10400mAh seems sufficient enough to last 1 day outside with maximum usage of the phone including map navigation, photo sessions, etc. Coz I'm going for a vacation and planning to maximize my L930 in terms of its awesome maps and its awesome camera. 2. Nope, it's not the network problem, sometimes it seems that the pictures are not there. I'm not talking about the headline pictures because those are fine, hmm maybe I just saw it wrongly. It's ok, no big deal :-D

It's ok, no big deal :-D 1. Phone charging speed depends on the output amperage (1.2A, 2.1A). However, charging back the emptied power bank will take longer. It's like filling bigger water tank surely will take longer than filling smaller tank. 16000mAh power banks will surely take very long to charge, make sure you charge it with 2.1A charger to get it charged faster. But, last time I can use my first gen Galaxy Note with 10000mAh battery whole day without problem. 16000mAh sure can last you more than 1 day... 2. Probably the article you viewed has no pictures then? Not so sure...
