hehhe LFS got sell female betta but normal plakat type..u can get it from old town kok aqua there.

if HM or HMPK female...you need to get from breeder..cost will be equal or higher compare with male... , unless u want low quality one...will be cheaper

i used to think that all females are plakats. lol.. didnt know got HM ones. Is there a clear specific trait of feature on the fish that indicates that its a female?

It's pretty sad that nowadays even those normal paddy field's betta is hard to be found. It seems like they are facing extinction.

u can review page 40 for the evildonkey post picture...that is female. , normally the female u will nortice the belly there

Just got back the bf hmpk that yewlin pass to me...my advice is grab them before they're gone...it's the salamander type of bf and not the normal blue/turqoise bf that's posted in page 40. Wondering what's a sala bf then look at yewlin's avatar...the color is slighty different but definately sala or maybe lavender...i'm always confuse between these 2 hehe...pics later as my digicam just ran out of battery and photo taking sessions with bettas is a pain in the as* so maybe tomorrow la.

Yewlin what'll i get if i spawn that guy with a royal blue female??? No matching female la i've even a crazier idea spawning that guy with the yellow dragon i got from aquafair...hahaha

Yeah ..sort of right ...

Halfmoon (HM) = Long Tail and the spread of the tail is 180 degrees.

Halfmoon Plakat (HMPK) = Short Tail and the spread of tail is 180 degrees ...

If the spread is more than 180 degrees, simply add in an 'O' which it will become OHM and OHMPK ... Which means Over Halfmoon / Over Halfmoon Plakat ....

Culling means killing them either by feeding to other larger predatory fishes, flush them to the toilet, freeze them to death n etc. etc. u get the idea
