haha depends de la... can negotiate one.. but one thing cannot negotiate is his Red bettas.. Rm 50 cannot less!! if anyone wan to go uncle wong place just let me know la. i can send u the map

mana bite dust. i kept betta long time already la just stopped keeping them for the past 3 - 4 years only.

you can ask yewlin. nearly bought from him also last time.

just that nowadays i was fixing up many of my other tanks, decided to start again - which is why i come by this thread once a while, cos i memang betta fan for long time already.

just that now, no more playing CT / HM. i prefer PK / HM PK / ST.

when you buy from Uncle Wong, you can be sure of quality. His fish manage to get placing in both Penang Betta Club(dec '07) and BSM Competition (Mac '08).

But before you spend >RM10 in bettas, be sure to read up on competition standards so at least you won't get conned into buying cull quality.

btw, the red posted by LeonTan does not worth the price. Heavy irid on body and fins.

discus? no la. i keep cheap discus called Severum. golden type. (some people call it Apollo).

ranchu? no way man, they dirty the tank like silly. i prefer ryukin or oranda over ranchu any day.

actually..my fish oso fr uncle wong line.. n i did go uncle wong there few weeks ago.. he juz jar his fish... so, is kinda of small... so, i m helping u to find the betta, which is fr uncle wong line... to make sure the quality

one thing about betta la, no worth you spend the $$$ on them unless you are going to do breeding and have the commitment to do so.

for me, my RM 3 types also I'm happy already.

is ok... as long is good quality...

agreed. water change, selecting breeders, raising fry and feeding all takes time. but if you have a good system in place (i.e lots of plants, sponge filter, cull heavily) you'll have more time to appreciate your fish rather than slaving for them...

a lot of people keep betta for the tail.

actually for me la. i keep them more for their character.

put them in a bigger tank and see how they move around and explore the place, it's very interesting.

if not also when you come near, the fella will come to you like say "hello" then go back doing his things.

have you tried putting more than 1 betta in a tank?

actually i tried before. put 2, then go upstairs and forgotten about it. by the time i go back tails were torn and both were tired.

anyway that was many years back. the 4ft tank? 1 betta lor. he's doing fine there among the other fish. clearing up another tank for him, bettas long like strong current tanks.

mine doesn't come to me to just to say hello, they expect food too and they won't go do their thing unless they're fed... haha..
