just open the camera and put it on tripod or flat surface. will notice that the camera goes up and down after auto focus.

now i see what you mean... yes i did put on the table with the camera facing down to the floor... although mine does move down, but it stop after around 1-2 secs...
mf_yamato i wouldnt say i'm disappointed with the camera, as i dont use long shuttle speed... so far all the photos i tested are ok and better low light photos though i dont have comparison to show... other features that come together with cyan, it is worth the effort to downgrade and upgrade...at least to me...
besides. after updating i can get the developer preview again to get the new features next week...

Yes..I did it by setting the Language to only English (United States). See the attached photo.

i guess you will have to wait for an update from nokia / microsoft mobile to solve the issue...
i did some additional "test"... for low light and long shutter speed, dont take photo immediately after set the focus...wait for a 1-2 secs and then only take the shot, photo will be come out much better and not as blur... it's a bit troublesome though if want to take quick shots in low light...
sorry noob question here.. if we set keyboard & regional to US.. our time zone will be US as well?
under settings, there is date+time... inside there it should have an option to set the time zone... however, if you set the time to set up automatically, it wont be there...
I notice that signal strength is a lot better now, at the expense of battery life. Phone also is kinda warmer now which probably is responsible for battery drain. I'd gladly make that trade-off though. Haven't tested yet at known blind spots hopefully it's better.
got a 2nd hand 1520 on wed, was on 8.1 preview, spend 1 hr to downgrade to 8.0, then start my update to Cyan 8.1.
however i spend 4 times update fail for more than 6 hour.
redo the downgrade nokia recovery tool again. and reset once b4 update. and successfully update to CYAN. after about 8-9 hours.
i wanna say, it spent alot of my time, BUT it worth the wait.
WP8.1 had so much improved, since my previous experience (from friends 920).
so smooth, IE finally acts as a normal browser, can view alot better on page by page. fast. but i hope it can pick up better compatibility on all page as compared to iOS safari and android firefox/ Chrome/ Dolphin.
apps wise, only this week alone we got Blackberry Messenger, Fitbit support on WP. i really hope more and more important apps to join in WP, and better updated on existing apps.
at 1st trying the Facebook look normal, and abit old version, then found out there is Facebook BETA on the trial. need to use bar-code scanner to get to install. Facebook BETA have really alot better!!
last but not lease, WeChat need alot more improvement. i got restore msg fail. 3 attempt all failed. no push notification. loading is slow. whatsapp still best.
