If you do notice, I seldom talk about such issues...

Firstly, I am not IN the industry...
Therefor, I really have (and most of the time, do not like to indulge in such rumors) the knowledge in who is doing and not doing what....
Contrary to what others might believe...
I find such 'knowledge' do not improve me as a player....
It makes me dependent on such info....
It takes away my edge.

Now from the outside looking in....
the SELL queue is always they key...
to 'block' a price from going up...
there is 2 key steps....

1) Line up heavy on the sell q.....
now obviously they won't line up big big and whistle the day away.....
for sometimes, some party or the general public, could start eating away.....
so they have to watch for any aggressive eating...
once detected, they will pull out their Q...
and line them up on the next (or next, next) sell queue....

2) The invisible sellers .... (this one is more effective)
have you watch some counters where the sellers don't queue to sell?
they just appear out of no where and start dumping their shares to the buyers?
this is more worrying for buyers...
buyers are always concerned with what they don't know ( market commentators like to call it 'market uncertainties') ..
when this happen constantly during a run up...
buyers WILL always pause.....
cos they do not know what is ahead....
and they do not know who is dumping.....
and even if they do know who....
they do not know the intent (ie how many shares this party is willing to dump)
all in... this is more effective (in my opinion. )

Why do they sell?
The one reason I think off is they have not collected enough....
or they were not given enough shares to begin with....
so by road blocking.....
market turns cautious...
which causes the short, short term players to dump their shares....
and when the dumping starts....
the party that created the road block, could then start collecting more shares at a lower price....
control of the share is important for the party....

that's my 3 sen laaa...
of course, if you ask Chef Kueh...
his pro opinions may different....

the key question, however, is can you feel comfortable playing such shares?
