normally how long the disc rotor can last long? if i just change the brake pad only, anything will happen? example, the new brake pad will fast finished?
i use butyl windscreen sealant to seal it. i think i need to replace the weather sheet ady.. the original weather sheet should be got a lot oil and dust and make the butyl sealant not sticky anymore.
was thinking.. my colleague ask me to just change the brake pad. for the disc rotor, my car age just almost 3 years and its not the time to skim the disc. except the disc rotor surface not good.
my front discs were changed after 92k mileage.. it was already like ][ . n i used rapidstop pads only lasted for abt 50k.
in my opinion, it depends on how hard n frequent u brake daily.. mine is b-line so the force for front brake will eat up the discs. plus, some performance pads (hard ones) might also eaten up ur discs.
other than feeling the brake by pressing the brake pedal, theres also another way to detect,
when i do balancing, thts when i get to look at my discs n pads. i also dirt ma hands by touch n feel the discs n pads. thts how i no when they need to b replaced.
