If only Oppo make a Mini version of N1, I would happy to buy it. 5.9" is too huge for my type. blush.gif

well, now you have OnePlus One. smile.gif

anyway, seems OPPO is the contract manufacturer for OnePlus. so, the build quality (or lack of it -- sorry, no experience with OPPO products yet, so not sure which way it goes) should be similar.

Japan Display shows off 5.5-inch, Quad HD display: could this be the display in the iPhone 6?
iPhone 6? Maybe not? Could it be Oneplus One? drool.gif But Oneplus one said is 1080p not this 2k display? hmm.gif
*
there's a lengthy discussion on the OnePlus forum about this. but unlikely to be on OnePlus One.

they have stated that 2k screen is not feasible at the moment. suck up processor power and battery. so, it;ll still be just FHD screen for OnePlus One.

they have announced the winner of the YouTube video contest. the winner gets to go to Hong Kong and 'feel' the phone.

they also announced a special prize for one of their more active forum member... this member has been invited to join their launch on 23rd April.

benny888, this phone does not pique your curiosity/ interest? no warranty void when you flash. smile.gif

seems they were not kidding when they said there's a OnePlus One phone under the Z1. i thought it was just a figure of speech.

but it was pointed out in the official OnePlus forum that we can see a bit of the OnePlus One phone in this photo. see: http://forums.oneplus.net/threads/the-onep...-efficient.370/

hahaha... not a joke.

but everyone involved in the phone, including CynogenMod team is very tight lipped about this phone. they don't want any leak before 23rd April.

there's already a few CM team guys on the OnePlus forum, including Steve Kondik. but they are being careful not to say too much about the phone.

so... looks like we're still gonna have to wait.

btw, they have another contest. they are so confident with the camera on this phone that they will be sending three engineering units (specifically for the camera and will be in special case) to three lucky people.
see: http://forums.oneplus.net/threads/contest-...hoto-mania.815/

the three will get to try out the camera but will need to update and share on Google+ all the photos taken. then after all that, once phone is released, the three will also get one phone each.

calling photography guru... aspire2oo6

wanna try? you can test out the camera (if selected) and share what you think. if dun like the phone, can always give to me... wink.gif

just need to submit one photo onto their forum and they will choose three winners.

good luck to anyone joining...

updated with latest info...

Processor now confirmed to be Snapdragon 801 (AC variant) clocked at 2.5GHz. It'll come with 3GB RAM.

see: http://forums.oneplus.net/threads/the-onep...864/#post-35609
QUOTE
While we had initially planned to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, we have been working very closely with Qualcomm and I am happy to announce that we will be offering the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC. This is not just any Snapdragon 801, but rather the 8974AC clocked at 2.5GHz to offer the best experience possible.

QUOTE
So far, we have also been quiet about the amount of RAM that the OnePlus One will have. I have been working very closely with our engineers here to determine the best way to absolutely maximize performance. After carefully considering each option, today I can tell you that the OnePlus One will come with 3GB of RAM. This way no matter how memory hungry your games and apps may be, you will never have to worry about delay due to a lack of available RAM.

did i mention it'll ship with CyanaogenMod and will have at least 2 years support from CM team?

all these... and more... for below usd400 (US pricing). smile.gif

good chance i might get one myself. just hope officially coming to MY.

Good chance ? I'm certain to get it ASAP. Then gonna compare to current N5 only decide to keep which, most probably let go N5.

well, i dun like to be someone to say 100% unless its already in my hands. even queuing up to buy anything... never know... comes to your turn, they put up a sign that says SOLD OUT.

for me... i still have my love for Note 2. but yes, this OnePlus is really giving me reasons to love it more with each tease/ announcement.

i just need some more 'proof' on the camera + some other usability...

I decide so early due to their consistence to #NeverSettle, been satisfied with spec so far, should not be disappoint on software/OS given CM was quiet for some times. Most important aspect is, below $400 price tag is a no-brainer for me, like how I unable to resist Nexus for many generation.
*
ya, with that price tag and the official CM support, i'm just kinda surprised the more techie members in this forum is not really interesting or posting here...

Everything is still on paper so nothing to discuss about.  Most important is actual performance,  actual price in Malaysia and availability. For all you know it will take 6 months for it to reach us,  by then the specs already outdated and new generation phones will be out again.
*
in a way... this is true. i guess we'll know on 23rd April when this is announced.

but i guess this is what happens for non-mainstream/ big name phones.

some in the forum are saying OnePlus will actually give out the phone as well. let's see how accurate is the person who said that...

but I won't be surprised seeing how they actually rewarded a forumer with invite the launch.

would be an awesome for me if it has 4.3" -  4.5" screen. too big for my palm size to hold, and i think it'll be hard to get here in malaysia. warranty could be a problem right?
*
they only have plans for one phone this year and it's going to be 5.5".

but seriously, if you have the chance, give a large phone a try. i can safely say those who have tried won't go back to smaller phones. there's no concern about not being able to fit into pockets, etc... millions of note users can tell you that. smile.gif

back to this OnePlus One. well, OnePlus said they'll be able to fit a 5.5" screen into the width of a Sony Xperia Z1. so, let's see how they do this on the 23rd April, when this phone is officially launched.

as for warranty... i guess until they officially sell in Malaysia, otherwise, its going to be like AP sets -- at own risk.

when made available to Malaysia, i think any claims -- ship back to them. if its their fault, they will cover all costs, etc... that's what they said in their latest update.

Updates from One+ staff. Presumable Malaysia have no issue to purchase it online, had to hope for the best #NeverSettle
*
i think the update is just very general. they had earlier said their initial launch country will be about 12 or so...

and if its anything like what OPPO has got, Malaysia is not on OPPO list. <-- i 'placed' a pre-order for Find 7a, and when i pulled down the country menu to select Malaysia, Malaysia is not in the list.

maybe...

but see how. if I desperate, might ask friends from launch country to buy and ship to me.
