I would say that most are real. As long as the price range are right, and there are people that bought from them before.

The ones listed in Taobao fall under another model as there is no OPO for them to list. Most of them, are genuine.
There are customer reviews and pictures posted by buyers as proof.

I got mine from Taobao, and there are plenty of sellers for me to choose from.

Just got mine from DirectD, Didn't come with ColorOS but it has some chinese apps and comes with 4.4.1 so i plan to update it to 4.4.4 soonish. Not sure if it sold out yet.

My 16gb Has 12gb left out of the box, With .5gb going to apps and another .4gb for photos and videos I have 11gb left for my use. It's alright for me as i use spotify for my music.

Then 16gb sufficient enough for me, but I bought the 64gb.... Hmmmm maybe resell value higher
