So any of the owners have any problems or praise for the Hisense airconditioner?
Currently tempted to get the 2.0 hp unit from Lazada at RM1375 only.
Should I take the plunge or should I stay away?

TV - Sucks, when u watch movie, the scene will feel like drama. This TV is at my bro-in-law house.
Air con - Sucks, outdoor compressor very noisy, your neighbor will complain. This air-con is at my uncle house.

I am using Hisense 1.5hp model HAC12D aircond for my room for 12 month. Still strong.

I use this because my room got mould everywhere and i am sensitive to mould.. So far satisfiying with performance. The wind smell fresh.. outdoor unit produce 70 decibel only, equal to vacuum cleaner noise.

I estimated use 70 hours per week, 22 Celcius. Cost is around 40 per month.

This is aircond installer for my home. I recommend his services. Forgot what his name. 01131743673. Based in Kepong. He charge me rm230 for installation, required to tebuk 3 hole on walls, i think worth it.

I just bought 4 unit Hisense 1.0 HP for my tenants @ RM600 each.
This Hisense when first launch is RM 500 each in year 2014.
Install each RM 150 standard market rate as qouted.

Install in April & I update feedback once done.

Just a quick survey.

I'm looking for 2 hp air-cond for my living room. Between buying branded basic non-inverter model air-cond like Daikin/Pana and premium inverter model air-cond brand from China say Haier/Midea/Hisense, Both with SAME PRICE. RM2k~

Which one is better? Branded/basic non inverter or Non-branded/premium inverter? SAME PRICE!

Please give your comments!! Really need it. thumbup.gif

It's depend on your usage.
If you turn it on for long usage, then go for inverter.
Otherwise, basic non-inverter will be fine.
Daikin is good to me, real chill and many features...Due to too complicated, so I haven't try it out yet.
Spare part wise is easy to find.
I nvr tried before for China brand, so I can only recommend Daikin.

I don't think so.. For me I won't pick it randomly since the quality will be much more different according to the price or function
Some more there have a called for daikin 'The Air Specialist' cuz one of their aims is for improving environmental health for everyone.

That's cheap... Any special with this brand?
Heard quite many family is using this air-cond, but due to it from china so not dare to try out.
Then picked Daikin... coz saw their advertisement seem good.
Other than noise, any other serious issue?

Currently using hisense 1.0hp for my room for about 3 months, the unit is rather noisy and the noise coming out from the ac unit is like having a tempo, giving me hard time to fall asleep listening the noise. Highly NOT RECOMMEND this ac if you plan to install in your room. Thinking to change it soon.

Daikin inverter is good, a big room usually you use 1.5hp, Daikin 1HP is already good for the job. Planning to put a few more in my few apartments for rental purpose

Actually, as a AC specialist. Most brands are okay. Parts are made to failed after 3-10 years for new models and most important is the spare parts. The worst brand for parts replacement is KOREAN brand. Avoid if possible.

For those looking for cheap installation R410A gas AC is looking for trouble. The proper ways to install R410A is to :
1) use correct copper tube size (those old house more than 5 years are not recommended) so buyers need to install new hose
2) Need to vacuum the system and this need at least 20-35minutes.
3) Need to charge extra R410A gas if pipe too long. R410A gas now selling at RM400/tank.

If someone quoted you RM 150-180 for new installation, you better avoid. A proper installation needs all above and skipping one of the above will resulted inefficiency in cooling & electricity consumption.

My 2 cents

Hey, can you comment a little more about the copper tubing size, and how I can possibly determine if my system has been installed correctly?

I have an AC (Old panasonic inverter model, R410 gas) - it was serviced by some repairshop recently and it was only cold for perhaps a couple of months. Its not very cold now. Infact my indoor unit fins iced up badly that I had to straighten the fin to get it working. No more icing but still, not cold.

Cheers!
