Hisense is the fighting brand for Hitachi.
If I am not mistaken Hisense is a big state-owned chinese electronics company from China.
They engaged a partnership with Hitachi sometime back.

Technology transfer thus all Hisense uses similar technology as Hitachi for all the medium-to-lower end markets.
While the latest technology and premium electronics will be sold under Hitachi.

I'm using Hisense 1hp for my dining.
The air is not air cool as well Toshiba and Mitsubishi.
The blowing power is weak, about 10-12 feets max.

3 years, nothing spoilt ... yet.
whereas mitsubishi (the one with eye sensor) , all 3 of them changed capacitor at least once each.

for A/C.....
hisense>fujiare/midea
those 2 from same midea oem factory
hisense JV with hitachi as many have pointed out

other than A/C no idea whether hisense good or not
they are buying Sharp N America recently so it seems they are pretty strong in TV market as well

but again, my hitachi 1hp also problem after 1 year
other than brand, i guess luck plays some part too

I would like to know on reliability and performance of Fujiaire Air Conditioners ... Made in Malaysia, parts should be easier compared to Haier. Any user complaints ?

Dear all. Don't choose Hisense as the quality is not good. Not recommended by sellers.

QUOTE(kenviro @ Mar 20 2014, 12:52 PM)
I am looking to get a new air conditioner after my Acson air conditioner stopped working a few days ago (it has lasted at least 8 years, maybe 10 years).

Anyway, I came across Sharp air conditioners and became interested in their Plasmacluster technology that purifies the air from airborne mold and viruses (good for those that have frequent common colds and flus). Then I found out that other air conditioner brands also have similar ion technology, whereby positive and negative ions are released into the air to destroy mold and viruses.

One brand that I am seriously considering is Hisense. Although this brand is from China, the price is significantly lower than other brands in the market. The 1 HP model with the ion technology is RM549 and after installation, one is looking at RM730 outlay.

Before I make the decision to buy this brand of air conditioner, I would like feedback from Hisense users. Is this brand reliable or does it give problems? And how long have you been using this air conditioner?

Your feedback is highly appreciated.

Thank you.

I thought Hisense bought Sharp already? so shouldn't be any problem right?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hisense

AFAIK Sharp products in Malaysia is covered by Hisense.

So any of the owners have any problems or praise for the Hisense airconditioner?
Currently tempted to get the 2.0 hp unit from Lazada at RM1375 only.
Should I take the plunge or should I stay away?
