So Summer Lesson won't be coming to USA but will it come to our shore? I'm hoping it will not be available in Japan only. That game is the reason I'm considering to get PSVR.
*
Pervert! tongue.gif
Haha, just kidding. I guess most male gamers would be interested in that.

Sony should include at least one VR game in the 'free' PS Plus games every month, in order to entice PS4 and PS+ subscribers to get PSVR; especially if most of the VR games are short ones (excluding those full AAA titles with VR support). 50 launch VR titles, let's say 36 are less than 10hrs play time; that would take 3 years to go through all ... win-win for Sony & PS4 gamers. hmm.gif

QUOTE(MattAces @ Jul 30 2016, 12:01 PM)
EXACTLY HAHAHA!
But so far I'm seeing a lot of people whining about the price or asking "hey does the RM1849 include PS4?"
God I really hope they didn't secretly preorder.
Edit : Anybody went to The Curve/KLCC to try it out? Thinking of traveling down to KL to try it out, want to know whether it is roadshow type of thing or demo in store.
*
Those who already pre-ordered, no need to test the demo unit kua? Either they'll be A) disappointed, and regret their pre-order (especially if paid in full already), B) not disappointed, which will then hype up their eagerness, but if there's not enuf stock for the first batch pre-order ... back to disappointment. biggrin.gif

I'm guessing a lot of us secretly pre-ordered on the 28th itself even though officially pre-order starts from today, 30th. Judging from the Gamers Hideout 28th July PS VR post comments (1.5K+ likes), a lot already pre-ordered (including Afdlin Shauki) from GH. So, I went to another authorized focus partner, only 20+ likes, brows.gif ... straightaway pre-ordered. However, the next day, received a message from them saying that there's no guarantee I'll receive the first batch as well (even tho paid in full, minus any shipping fee), coz more pre-ordered the RM1849 than the RM2029 set ... sad.gif

Anyway, depends on the allocation from Sony Malaysia (is Play Interactive involved?), I guess each focus partner will receive equal amount of PS VR units (unless GH can use their clout to get more?) ... so, those who really really wanna get their hands on PS VR on 13th October will have to hunt and choose wisely for a authorised seller with less pre-order ... hmm.gif
Else, wait for discounted or lower than retail price from other sellers ... which might be 2nd batch.

Good luck to us (guinea pigs) all ... thumbsup.gif

Did you inquire any information from GH though, guaranteed stock or something. Right now I'm putting my money on HeavyArms.
*
No ... didn't ask anything from GH coz most probably they were swamped with inquiries (especially 'is the price inclusive of a PS4 console?' question laugh.gif ). Went to Maxlink, ... bought from them several times before so hopefully they'll give priority to 'loyal' customers, their service is good altho they charged shipping fee for extra free gifts.

Still disappointed tho, that Sony Asia didn't bring in the bundle like US and UK one ... 1 PS VR + 1 PS camera + 2 PS Moves + 1 VR game ... even tho I got PS camera already, the extra price could be similar to if I bought separately 2 new PS Moves. Now just resigned to that fact, and looking out for 2nd hand PS Moves, and hoping that not many games require or are optimized for PS Moves. I did ask Maxlink about the chances of 'upgrading' to a better package, if let's say suddenly Sony Asia announced that kind of package before 13th October ... they couldn't say.

So, you've pre-ordered from HeavyArms?

....
On an extra note, apparently every PSVR game is playable with the dualshock controller becuase it has the lightbar thing, but some games are just better to be played with 2 move controller like London Heist in VR world, Job Simulator or Batman VR. I saw Robinson The Journey being demoed with a controller in some video.
*
That should be, else there would be PSVR+Moves bundle. Yeap, some games are nicer to play with 2 PS Moves, add Media Molecule's Dreams to the list as well.
However, I'm more interested in driving games which should be very immersive, so I guess a driving wheel controller for PS4 is of higher priority for me, since all VR games could be played with DS4.

Going against what I've said ... those who are going to try the PS VR, see if the cinematic mode is clear or not in all three modes (small, medium and 225" screen)? cool2.gif I suspect the resolution will be blurry in the 'bigger' screens modes.

Go to any sony center i guess. to pre-order you need to pay at full price.
There is definitely gonna be shortage and limited stock at launch.
*
Not sure about Sony Centers, but some focus partner stores/authorized dealers such as Gamers Hideout and Maxlink most probably already sold-out their first batch stock allocation for PSVR Standard Pack...Bundle with Camera Pack still got. 2nd batch didn't say when.

From Maxlink FB:-
https://www.facebook.com/Maxlink4gamers/pho...?type=3&theater
QUOTE
1) Playstation VR Camera bundle- RM2,029
(1st Batch - Deposit RM 1000 Required)

2) PlayStation VR Standard Pack - RM 1,849
(1st Batch FULLY BOOKED, 2nd Batch - Deposit RM 500 Required)

From Gamers Hideout:-
https://www.facebook.com/GamersHideout/phot...?type=3&theater
Apparently they got extra allocation or someone cancelled their bookings?

Good news! Our #PlaystationVR first batch is now reopened!

Not sure about HeavyArm, and Marvel Genius; plus other resellers.

I want full bundle with camera, 2 move remote, and machine gun remote..
Don't know why no people bring in oversea unit..
*
Oversea unit? If no problem with the unit, ok lah.
If got problem, troublesome if no regional warranty.

But got some gamers here who ordered directly the camera+move+psvrworld bundle from Amazon oo ... those who do, how much was the delivery charges?

*
Err ... imho, PSVR games preferably should be bought digitally; coz changing games would be less hassle ... unless you wanna sell them off next time or exchange with frens.
Physical game disc for collections ... buy those non-VR games with steelbooks lor, nicer.

QUOTE(cryspower @ Oct 21 2016, 03:54 PM)
lol, i am having it delivered to office. how late am i supposed to stay in the office? timed delivery or same day delivery i guess, but i didn't know gdex does that unless it is some sort of special arrangement between them, but i wouldn't put my bet on it now.
*
If got tracking number, could've call up GDex and change delivery address from office to home ... at least that's what GDex in Sarawak could be requested to do.
Anyway, I'm waiting for my tracking number from Maxlink as well ... if they've sent right after stock arrived, got half a-chance could be delivered tomorrow morning and could collect before local agent office balik before 1pm....but I'm not holding my breath ... most probably would be next Monday, or even Tuesday. cry.gif

When will they support media player to play 3D 360 videos?
*
3D?
If you mean the normal 360 degree video format, the PS4 own media player ver 2.50 already can support it
https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2016/10/12/...-music-support/

If you mean stereoscopic/SBS 360 videos, then I guess not yet ... dunno about other 3rd-party players, like Vrideo, Within, Littlstar VR Cinema?

Hmmm, guys .... Rez Infinite (RM121) and Thumper (RM81) only available in digital format? Since it's not exclusive VR games, I thought of getting them in physical disc format; so that can exchange/lend with/to friends without PSVR.

Already tried asking GamersHideout and HeavyArm, don't have (yet) ..... tried searching online, even Amazon don't have ... that means the physical disc version not yet available?

* Edit:
Rez Infinite physical version available in November, but maybe only R1 or R2 version.

Still couldn't find anything for Thumper, except soundtrack

Good discussion ... that's what I like to read from forums, rather than simple questions which answers could easily be googled.

Having said that, I wanna ask a simple question, heheh ... tongue.gif

I bought my PSVR from Maxlink, supposed to be 1st batch pre-order but now not so sure coz I didn't get the RM100 PSN credit from Sony Malaysia. Or izzit only those who pre-ordered from Sony Malaysia online get the RM100, and not those from authorised dealers? I did get the demo disc and the cleaning cloth, packaged separately from the box.

Those who also bought from Maxlink (M4G), how?

* M4G replied, the RM100 PSN credit is digital code only, will be send soon. thumbup.gif

Nobody uses "Malaysia" name yet, so for those who wanna unlock "club" cars (if got any), let's do it together; I'll be playing a lot of DriveClub VR.

How come you not feel motion sickness?
My be you destine to be real car racer.
*
I still do feel a bit nauseated if the car turns too fast ... but still can stand it. Maybe I'm used to reading while sitting in car or bus.

Someone said try adjust the virtual driving seat nearer to the front, so that won't view too much of the cockpit; the idea maybe to reduce the difference of sudden movement outside and inside the car, which could make us feel motion sickness.

Although I feel ok after playing several demos and DriveClub VR for around 5hrs, ... after viewing a roller-coaster spherical video through VRideo, straightaway I got nausea; puke.gif and I like riding in roller-coasters. Yet to try RIGS, haha ... saving the worst motion-sickness related games to last, so that can enjoy others first.

US VR Demo Disc is better ... Asia Demo Disc only unique demos are Ace Banana, and Oh My Genesis; nothing special. US demo disc got Kitchen (from Resident Evil 7) ... try it! heheheheheh ...
while the Kitchen free demo can be downloaded separately in UK PSN; somehow it's charged RM4 for that short demo in MY or Asia PSN . doh.gif

Got my unit today

Tried several games in vr worlds would say the expericence is worth the money
But the graphics is quite blurry and pixelated
Is it normal or my setting not right ?
*
So far for me, Playroom VR games, Thumper, Rez Infinite ... are quite clear. The rest, ya, quite blurry and pixelated. But if Japan Studio developer can do graphic like Playroom VR, other developers should be able too ... it's like the usual launch games, graphic not maximized (not using the best engine/style) yet.

QUOTE(squall_12 @ Oct 29 2016, 07:50 AM)
go to setting-device-playstation VR- eye to eye setting to have better 3d view which improve the graphic a lot for me.
*
Oh, yet to try that also ...

QUOTE(allvin @ Oct 29 2016, 11:30 AM)
Pixelated is always there. Especially the jagged graphic cos low AA.
For blurry, it depends on which games. In general, nearby you should see crisp wording (like the virtual controller), anything at far from your top should be blurry.
*
Was disappointed a bit of the jaggedness when trying the demo unit, but bought one anyway for its immersion factor.
When friend came over to try out, I turn on Playroom VR first ... both impressive and immersive. thumbup.gif

Now I get what 3D spherical videos you're referring to ... ya, spherical videos can be either 2D or 3D;
2D spherical is just normal recorded total 360 in all axis (I'll refrain myself from calling it 360 videos coz that's just 360 panorama video in one horizontal plane), while 3D spherical should be SBS spherical, recorded using 3D or two lenses 360 videocam;
can see the layered and depth, just like 3D movies compared to 2D movies;
the pop-out effect in 3D movies is akin to extreme closeness in 3D videos.

Vrideo labelled its 3D videos; I find those 3D videos uploaded by Go4D channel are interesting brows.gif ...although all are low res, feels like not even 480p.

If I Dunwan play with vr I have to unplug the hdmi connected to vr decorder and plug in back to my ps4? Or any other setting ?

QUOTE(squall_12 @ Oct 29 2016, 03:03 PM)
your vr wont be on unless u power on the vr headset.
*
Ya, no need to unplug any cables if don't wanna play with VR. The normal HDMI signal still passthru the psvr decoder (the processing box) from PS4 to your TV. The processing box light will still be on for a while, after that might turn red to standby. No need other settings.

Press Triangle button to re-center...somehow it zoomed in a bit also, making the text readable.

The video quality all seems to be low res, but some are interesting especially those labelled 3D. Avoid those roller coasters videos first ... they easily make viewers nauseated.

Personally i love horror movies, games, or videos. So far i've yet to find 3D version on vrideo  sad.gif . I want something like RE7 kitchen demo or until dawn rush of blood, but on real life video! hahaha
*
Yeap, there are horror videos on Vrideo but not 3D spherical, just normal spherical. The elevator one is nice ... the space is small, so no need 3D also the effect is great. The Ghost in the Shell 3D VR trailer is ehemm, revealing. The Hellblade trailer by Ninja Theory is great ... in 2D non-VR, it's ok; in 3D spherical with binaural audio, wow ... now only I get why Senua is talking to the camera.

Too bad all the videos play in low-res ... must be Vrideo or PSVR resolution limitation; coz the videos are supposed to be in 4K, 2K and 1080p (according to the video info), and not 480p as they felt like.

Btw, just to test ... PS4 Media Player can't play SBS or OU spherical/VR videos in VR Mode. It'll just 360 wrapped the videos without overlapping the split screens into 3D.
I've downloaded some 3D videos from Go4D Youtube channel (which I like most of theirs in Vrideo) ... too bad don't have other PS4 apps yet that can play external offline 3D (SBS/OU) VR (spherical) video files.

For 480p files, acceptable.
For 720p files, still ok.
For 1080p, not as sharp as on normal 1080p screens.

I find PSVR cinematic mode very fun to watch YouTube videos, since I don't stream 1080p quality all the time, mostly 480p enuf.

UPDATE : Sony just called me back. Now they say the Demo Disc and cloth is on a first come first serve basis and i miss out.
When i call up before i order , SONY told me the bundle set comes with the above items. Now diffrent story.
*
That sucks!!! Sony Malaysia screwed up for this PSVR launch. If only you managed to record verbally or have written correspondence of the Sony Malaysia staff who said that. They're taking the easy way out instead of trying to serve better.

To ease your anguish, if it's any consolation, the Demo Disc for R3/Asia nothing much ... I used R1 downloaded Demo Disc instead.
The cloth is just a normal fiber-free glass / spectacle cleaning cloth ... sure if it's free, then good lor; but there are better cleaning cloths out there.
