Until now I still don't know where to online register the warranty for my PSVR ... but since don't have any extra 90-days bonus warranty for online registration, didn't really try to find out further.
The Playstation Hardware page where we normally register our PS4 (hosted at playstation.hk page), didn't list PSVR as one of the Playstation devices.

It's not stated anywhere ... I just assumed Sony will follow the same policy with PS3 and PS4 (don't know about PSP and PS Vita), whereby you'll get extra 3-months warranty on top of the default one year (or 2 year for bundles) warranty, if the device was registered online. So, apparently PSVR don't get that since can't registered it on their own website ... the warranty registration link on the PSVR box just point to general page only.


Err ... why holding the power button on the cord doesn't feel like the correct way? If that's not the 'legal' way, why does Sony put a power button there? Don't really understand oo ...

I like it when turning off the PSVR by pressing the in-line remote power button, the fan at the processing box still spinning until it's not hot anymore ... same as PS4 when going into Rest Mode ... I always put my PS4 into Rest Mode first instead of turning it off immediately after long sessions of gaming, after heat was dissipated only then I really turn it off.

Anyway, I thought that you first played Eagle Flight not on PSVR ... on your Vive or Rift; that's why we didn't say anything kua? (most of us here are peasant consolers with PSVR only ... )

So far, if I hold the PS4 power button for more than 5 sec, it'll shut down as normal. If it's in rest mode, and I forgot, and switched off the wall power switch; or blackout; then I'll see the "rebuilding storage database..." message when restarting. Sometimes, I think, if my internet connection is bad, and my PS4 is in rest mode, I can't get it to wake up and iirc, when I hold-pressed the power button for it to shutdown, it'll show the error message also after restarting. Anyway, will try again next time.

Forgot to add ... how about other PSVR users when pressing the in-line power button at the cord? Mine just need to press once only, no need to hold, after a while it'll go into standby mode (red light at processing box).

Looking for a pair bundle also, hopefully lower price than buying each separately; but not urgent coz I don't have any full PSVR game requiring only PS Move.


Try the list of authorized dealers, can be found on Playstation Malaysia website ... google their contact info, then either message them through Whatsapp or FB Messenger to book if got stock; most will reply promptly.

I find my glasses will touch the lens when adjusting the view ... scared it'll scratched the lens as reported by some PSVR users, so every time will be very careful when putting my PSVR visor on. It is comfortable though, only need to re-adjust once in a while ... the longest I played and watched VR/normal videos in single session, is around 5+ hrs.

Still can't support SBS or OU VR videos, just normal VR videos.

I tried once before, connecting to notebook and play just a normal 360 VR video using a VR player ... but the thing is, we're only viewing the whole thing in cinematic mode, PSVR can't detect and switched to VR mode ... saw the reddit post about how a Japanese guy tricked the PSVR to show more than cinematic mode when connected to PC, but it's still not full 360 degree VR.

If anybody here managed to get PSVR showing full 360 VR, quickly mention here first oo ... this thread will be famous.
If it could show normal 360 VR, then using a supported VR player, 360 3D SBS/OU video should be viewable too.

I envy a bit you guys who don't wear specs ... got more space to adjust for the sweetest spot of sharpness.
Mine, huh, when adjusting, my specs will touch the lens .... which made me couldn't adjust too much, for fear of scratching the lens.

I thought they say IPD not really for sharpness, more for scale. I tried from 45mm to 62mm, only the in-game distance feels different, sharpness still not much difference for me, still need manual headset adjustment to get the focus.

Btw, US PSN having Black Friday discount sales ... VR related games:- Star Wars Battlefront for USD7.49 (free Star Wars™ Battlefront Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission update coming soon this December) and Bound for USD9.99 ...

For me, maybe will just get the (around) RM33 SW Battlefront, just for the X-Wing VR mission, which hopefully will be longer than the free CoD:IW Jackal Assault.

For those who bought and played Bound in VR mode before, is it worth it? Reviews gave it around 7/10. Will cost around RM44 (digital version).

For US PSN (again), got new free VR items to try ... Gary the Gull, a short interactive VR film (736Mb) and VirZOOM Arcade, looks like a combat racing game (2.4Gb) ...
Non free but notable new VR 'games' this week ... NBA 2KVR Experience ... too bad it's not the real basketball match in VR ... just a collection of mini-games of shooting basketballs ... (from the gameplay trailer).

Thanks for the personal review, I guess I'll most probably buy Bound since it's on sales ... my VR games so far only DriveClub VR (that's also with discount RM89 coz bought the normal DriveClub before), and Thumper (still psychologically below RM100 ... Rez:Infinite I'm waiting for the physical version).
Still got several backlog normal PS4 games to finish first, so didn't buy other VR games yet at full price coz it'll bound to drop or have discount or maybe even free with PS Plus *gaps!* ...

Those few VR games and demos will do for now ... while waiting for the AAA games such as RE7, Ace Combat 7, GT Sport (too bad not all in VR), etc.
Sony better quickly approve another app to replace Vrideo ... if not, don't have any app that can play 3D SBS/OU VR videos after Vrideo shut down...better still, just implement the support in PS4 Media Player lah.

Ya lor, those developers thought that while PSVR is just starting and don't have hundreds of better quality PSVR games as competitors, they'll try to earn easy money first while they can.
