ya.. as others forumer said biostar is a great choices around that budget..

but. last time i cant find tforce 550 at lowyat as all out of stock.. then they suggested me tforce 570U which is newer chipset and still a good mobo and the price i get for that mobo is RM325 only..

btw.. does polish the Heatsink surface with sand paper make much different in temp??

hey bro..terus terang cakap la there's no way they can sell it that cheaper unless the wanted to clear stock ler.

hi.. Socket 940=AM2.ya u're rite for that but AM2 socket is not in K8 family bro..

K8 family is for Socket 754 & 939..

owh.. really.. my mistake..

but when to choose the Heatsink compatibility if stated there support K8 family dosen't mean that it is support AM2 rite..

that's im not sure ler bor why ppl dun take it.

maybe it is still new chipset..

but i'm using it just fine.. even can OC till 2.7Ghz..

then can compare to my SilverStone NT06 aswell.. I see that u're using same proc as mine.. mine Full Load @2719Mhz max 54C Idle at around 36C


i think there is no problem with the processor.. make another copy of ur super pi folder and run it seperately..

i'm using Biostar TForce 570U.. i think u oso use the same ar..

looking at your monitoring tool it is biostar monitorin tools rite?

just trying to find the max i can go without increasing the Vcore..

this is my results..



as u can see my Full Load temp is 33C max and idle temp is 25C

duno whether this Biostar monitoring cheats me or not but i got same reading in bios too...

I got the same reading when using speedfan..

summore using speedfan my fan speed increase double

if no aircond not much diff 26-27C.. nothing wrong bro..I touched the heatsink n heatpipe but didn't feel the temp.. but when im increase the vcore until 1.45v@2.719Ghz then i can feel sumthing on the heatsink..

at 1st couldn't belived it too la.. coz i never use stock cooler b4 so dunno actual temp if using stock cooler..

Ya my proc can do 2.3GHz@ Stock vcore and its Prime stable

eh.. i wanna ask if i'm running on 240 fsb on stock vcore does it have side effect??

If it is prime stable and can run all smoothly does it mean everything is ok??

just wanna to know if there's a side effect on my proc in long term??

maybe its just ur mobo didn't read it accurately..i know that u're using mobo same as mine but my cpuz reading just fine if it is on default setting.. Have u tried restart n run the cpuz again a few times?

yup that 1 is the latest.. btw i'm using v1.37

ask @camedemac how he deal with it..he use that mobo last time.. maybe he can help u answer ur question then..
