No...
It's true that AM2 has 940pins but people dont call it 940 bcos the early generation of FX/opteron has 940pins (different pin position than am2). The Hyper 6+'s S940 is not refered to AM2.

BTW, all Athlons r still based on K8. It's not the socket, it's the architecture.
*
owh.. really.. my mistake.. blush.gif

but when to choose the Heatsink compatibility if stated there support K8 family dosen't mean that it is support AM2 rite.. whistling.gif

nope..just using T550
i think something wrong with it.Coz no way the cpu temp will be lower than RT (35c) unless u'r in aircond
*
if no aircond not much diff 26-27C.. nothing wrong bro..I touched the heatsink n heatpipe but didn't feel the temp.. but when im increase the vcore until 1.45v@2.719Ghz then i can feel sumthing on the heatsink.. laugh.gif

My processor is idle at around 27c during night time, hot evening 34c, midnight 23c. brows.gif 1.45vcore. When it was virgin(I mean stock rolleyes.gif ), I seriously don't believe the temperature.  wub.gif

I tried to touch heatsink. And I trust the temp reading from SpeedFan/CoreTemp. nod.gif

Edit: No, no air-cond in my room. Whenever I notice my processor idlig more than 32c at evening, I will just leave it there. The room is just soooooooo warm! shakehead.gif
*
at 1st couldn't belived it too la.. coz i never use stock cooler b4 so dunno actual temp if using stock cooler..

@camedemac

I've downloaded the BIOS from http://www.lejabeach.com/Biostar/6100-550/N5taa703.rar. Then I flashed the BIOS but after checking with clockgen utility again, I am still unable to set the PCI clock locked at 33.3 MHz.

This drove me crazy a bit. How I able to overclock if this PCI lock issue unsettled??
*
ask @camedemac how he deal with it..he use that mobo last time.. maybe he can help u answer ur question then.. icon_idea.gif
