Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask or not, but don't want to create another thread in the Q & A to ask simple questions:

1. I just receive word from my supplier that got new AMD FX AM2 chips:

FX70
FX72
FX74

and the price is cheaper than FX 62

The full codes are:

FX70DIBOX
FX72DIBOX
FX74DIBOX

Sure such processor exist ? I thot only FX74 exist ? Saw a preview of it in Hardwarezone.com.my
Kindly enlighten me.

Thank you.
*
It does exist and the price abit cheaper than FX 6 series.. but right now didn't see yet any shop at LYP selling it.. wink.gif
and i think it is becoz it use socket F(1207FX) not in AM2 Family sweat.gif

AMD FX Family

hmm.. tried evrything?? adjusting the vcore, vdimm..??
if alreadi tried evrything then cannot laa... wat can do...

mine can go to 3.2 max @ a very high vcore and vdimm and also a very high temp laa... also dun dare to prime... onli can do super pi.. and the result is almost the same as @ 3003mhz... so, i'm sticking @ 3003mhz laa... the higher it goes, the hotter my room... feels like summer... no, like a drought actually...
*
edi use 1.575 vcore to achieved that ler.. scared to increase the vcore sweat.gif
increase vcore mean more heat produce.. currently playsafe running at 2.5Ghz@1.275vcore idle 23-25c full load 35-37c thumbup.gif

did u test how far ur proc can go with stock vcore? your stock vcore 1.2v rite? if u cant make it 2.3Ghz on stock vcore then perhaps its a bad core.. shakehead.gif

Hmm...... where can get the documentation that explains the differences between revisions....

Added on March 24, 2007, 5:00 pm
Last time it was still using 4-pin connector. I believe it's the recent revision that utilizes 8-pin. And I think this version also provides 2.4Vdimm jumper. But how about the selectable voltage in BIOS.... maxed at 2.1V or 2.3V?

regarding high clock with lower voltage... i believe you need to have very good cooling to maintain the temp not to exceed a certain temperature.

for example, my single core can prime stable at 2.8ghz with 1.475 only if the temperature stays below 50'C. if it reaches 50'C... then prime error occurs.

and of course, some good burn-in will improve overclockability as well.
*
yah.. i think temp make a lot of different in overclockability.. lower temp means u can use lower voltage with high clock..

My Biostar Tforce570U is rev.1( refer to the box) but already use 8pin connector.. max vdimm 2.2v(set by jumper doh.gif ) max vdimm in bios 2.1v wink.gif

wat ram u using? n my bios is too 18
*
halo.. nice proc u have there.. can do 2.85Ghz@1.35v it is really amazing bro.. i think my hand feel itchy too to take 1 but no money lar rite now cry.gif

btw.. i'm oso using KVR 667 with hynix FP-Y5 currently running at 400Mhz@4-4-4-12 2.1v.. this ram can do up to DDR960@5-5-5-15 2.1v.. so in your case u can push the ram more and get higher clock, 3Ghz perhaps drool.gif drool.gif

vcore already passed 1.525v  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
but i think i can go further if i can use more than 2.1vdimm..

but for my TForce 570u, its either can select <2.2v or ONLY 2.4v (ONLY means "will be fixed at 2.4v automatically, and it can't be adjusted under CMOS setup") doh.gif

im scared to feed 2.4vdimm for my ram..scary it will got fried.. sweat.gif
*
but still lucky u got new revision of Biostar Tforce 570U mobo that can use up to 2.2v in bios.. mine can adjust in bios till 2.1v only.. set jumper only for 2.2v..( but never tried it b4 sweat.gif )

QUOTE(PowerSlide @ Mar 29 2007, 08:16 PM)
wah..the result is very good bro..i hav try tweak the ram setting in bios still no go at 2.1V  sad.gif

im aiming for 3gh now..wana try as low vcore as possible..dun think d bro..kasi grab one!!!  tongue.gif

wer is other brisbane user? dowan share oc result ar

yah lo.. 10ppl bought the brisbane core from jy14 bulk but where are they?? mind to share experience here... flex.gif
