I don't think cpu-z show PCI bus speed. PCI bus speed should be fixed all the time.
I not sure ur gigabyte board as I never play with it b4. If PCI bus speed raise when u oc...that's weird. Flash to latest bios?

QUOTE(Shengz @ Jan 3 2007, 10:18 PM) Oh goshhhhhh... My CPU really get me gone mad.. Prime stable for 48 hours.. But once I simply run programs, it will crash.. What the heck is holding me back? My RAM? Or the mobo? No BIOS update available currently.. Quite regret getting this mobo.. disable CnQ, disable any smart fan control. post out ur memory timing setting. (hopefully not all AUTO) try stress ur ram or run the ram at ddr2-533 (if ur ram ddr2-667).

Shengz, 1.575vcore is a bit too much IMO. 1.25v should get you 2.5ghz easily. I don't believe u need to pump so much to go 2.7ghz Try memory setting below QUOTE tcl = 5 trcd = 5 trp = 5 tras = 15 cpc = 2 trrp = 3 AsyncLat = 8/6 while 8 is for stability trc = 13 key memory timing to run at high HTT twr = 5 trwt = 5 twtr = 3 tref = 3.9/7.8 read DQS skew = AUTO read delay from Rx FIFO = 2.5
DRAM drive strength option
DRAM driver weak mode = normal the rest according to order from top to bottom set 1.5 1.5 1.5 1.0 1.0 1.0
Dram bank Int = Enabled DQS Training = Skip DQS the rest according to order from top to bottom set Enable per Channel Disable Enable FC Disable
Make sure to disable CnQ as well as set multiplier option manually as well. Spread spectrum must be disabled as well as LDT upstream/downstream from 16x to 8x, NB ---->HTT set from 4x to 3x.
That's it and hopefully this does help in some way.
If you find this useful, pls share this in the thread later for other forumers ref as well. It works on 6100-am2. tweak it to fit on your tf570u. It was given by PCcrazy to me and it does work on my 6100-am2 and tf550. Or u can just lower multipler to oc the HTT This post has been edited by allenultra: Jan 5 2007, 11:05 PM

kalakatu, consider the board soulfly using.
For an around RM300 board, that will be the best overclocking board available.(if u into OC) If not, just get the cheapest option available.

QUOTE(kalakatu @ Jan 24 2007, 11:31 PM) thanks for the suggestion given so i think ill grab TForce 550 then.. but just one more question - can CM Hyper TX fit nicely on TForce 550 without problem? tf550? Not the DFI Infinity nF-M2 ? Is HyperTX bigger than XP90? XP90 fit nicely on my TF550. I would get the DFI Infinity nF-M2 if it available when I bought my tf550. Well the DFI is around RM320 in garage sales. I believe TF550 around RM290?
Let me know the height of hyper TX

If you don't mind, would you get the specs of XP90? UTP internet connection is slow like snail now. I'm using casing Coolermaster Centurion 530. Thermalright XP90 + 38mm think fan. And there are around 5cm space between the fan and the side panel. Hopefully the height of [xp90+38mm+50mm] > 136.5mm

Well....u can calculate it urself don't you?
75+38+50 = 163mm Its way more than the height of Hyper TX. Unless u using micro ATX casing, I don't see a reason hyper tx will hit the side panel.

coolblade, latest bios revision solved the PCI bus unlock problem. Please get any bios newer than BIOS N5TAA615.BST.
It isn't about the board revision, it should be the bios instead.

Try this. I get it from PcCrazy. Working nicely on my tf6100-am2. You only get these timing options available with the 505 or 505modded bios. Go get one if you are not using either of them. RAM divider kinda low, u can try ddr2-533 instead if you are using ddr2-667 . Or just use ddr2-667 and pump the vdimm to 2.2v

QUOTE(zamree7 @ Feb 22 2007, 12:10 PM) actually i tried this before..my ram is DDR667 using biostar Tforce 570U..the thing is my divider is max till DDR667.. I've set the maxclock to DDR800 but nothing happen.. its take DDR667 as the max speed.. Dunno whether this is a bios problem or its just the mobo set the max according to my ram spec(FYI i can set my ram to lower divider DDR533) .. bios update perhaps? well it the same, just lower the CPU multiplier. start from ddr2-667, just push the HTT way up with max vdimm.

Asus, for default vcore. Try check with coretemp or CPU Brain Identifier.
I believe your 3000+ with 1.25v vcore. The 2 biostar board with me, both tend to overvolt a bit compared to the value set in the bios.
You should be able to achieve 2.5ghz with 1.25vcore, provided your board can reach 278HTT

Amedion, its normal. Not all AM2 board can go over 300HTT. Especially Biostar motherboard.
DFI board does break 300HT margin though.

QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Apr 13 2007, 08:30 PM) My previous biostar reached ~335HTT no problem....how to do it? read below Yeah but pcmoddingmy was using clockgen. My previous 570U wont pass 280HTT from bios. Needs clockgen... I know it. Clockgen does help but still I can't break it t6100-am2 over 280htt. Not all biostar board oc like mad with Clockgen. Pcmoddingmy tried 420HTT on tf6100-am2 but its once in a blue moon, how many out there actuall can do the same? Biostar produces good motherboards but not their bios. Just use any alcohol will do. Those small bottle where meant for cleaning video tape recorder, cost few bucks each. OP, They still open? U can find AS5 in Garage Sales. byfc2010, for 6100-am2. I believe 505RH bios is the best available This post has been edited by allenultra: Apr 14 2007, 11:26 PM

Asus, I try to reach 2.6ghz with 3200+ when I'm back home.
Now I'm running it at 2.5ghz, stock vcore 1.25v. You sure u need that much vcore for 2.6ghz?
