QUOTE(zamree7 @ Feb 16 2007, 10:53 AM) 2.2vdimm?? why my mobo(biostar TForce 570U) vdimm max till 2.1v oni If not mistaken, newer revision of TForce 570U supports higher vdimm. i think maybe ur proc limit oc to 2.5Ghz.. try change the proc and see how?? -pWs- This post has been edited by -pWs-: Feb 16 2007, 12:18 PM |

QUOTE(zamree7 @ Feb 22 2007, 01:11 PM) Bro.. its AMD.. the ram clock is depend on the divider itself.. The divider cannot be changed. It have to depends on ur multiplier and ur ram divider.for example: 250FSBx10 = 2500Mhz - RAM = CPU/6 - 416Mhz(DDR832) 270FSBx9 = 2430Mhz - RAM = CPU/6 - 405Mhz(DDR810) 250FSBx10 =2500Mhz - RAM = CPU/5 - 500Mhz(DDR1000) so wat i need to get my ram running DDR1000 is either my proc can reach 3000Mhz( which is nearly impossible anyone with DDR667 with Biostar Tforce 570U can change the divider to CPU/5??? and yet still couldn't find any update for my bios.. Refer to the first page diagram, for multiplier 10, u need 800 ram divider with 250 FSB to achieve 1000. -pWs- This post has been edited by -pWs-: Feb 22 2007, 02:00 PM |

QUOTE(kurikuraX @ Feb 28 2007, 12:23 AM) Hi guys, Im planning to get new AM2 proc. I preferly to get AMD64 X2 3600+ AM2 proc with 256kb*2 lv2 cache due to my budget limit. AFAIK, 3800++ only win 3600++ by around 5 % in performance. It is up to you which you want to choose from. After looking at yhis thread rank, I observed that AMD64 X2 3800+ AM2 proc with 512kb*2 lv2 cache would give more promising in overclocking. But i just read on one artikel that show 3600+ and 3800+ are on par with each other... My Webpagehttp://www.digital-daily.com/cpu/athlon_64_x2_am2/index03.htm So..guys, ur personal opinion, should i go for 3800+ or 3600+? thanks For overclocking, it really depends on luck whether you get a nice chip or not. -pWs- |

QUOTE(treason @ Mar 1 2007, 02:29 PM) hey guys Do you pump some vcore?? im at 255 fsb now with my x2 3600+...problem is my ram divider is at 400....if i go higher it wont even go to the bios, and there will b 1 long beep and 2 short beeps...i tried to set my multiplier lower and fsb higher, also cannot..y ar? not enough vdim? its at 1.95v (board max) thanks!! -pWs- Added on March 1, 2007, 4:07 pm QUOTE(penapis @ Mar 1 2007, 01:11 PM) i use the pre-applied one.... So big difference?? Yours 2.6GHz at what vcore??2.0 got 27c only.. 2.3 got 37c... 2.6 got 65c... how gonna get 3.0...?? my option is going for dry ice + methanol... Mine 2.5GHz at around 52c... -pWs- This post has been edited by -pWs-: Mar 1 2007, 04:07 PM |

QUOTE(jackal1950 @ Mar 1 2007, 04:15 PM) I planning to get AMD AM2 3800+ 2.0GHz pair with either I will choose Biostar Nforce 550. 1. MSI Nforce 550 2. Biostar Nforce 550 Which is better oc motherboard? Not planning to oc high cuz I getting normal kingston value ram. Hopefully I can oc till 2.8GHz. But to reach that do I need a better heatsink and performance ram, motherboard? Or it is easily within reach of any matching hardware. 2.8Ghz from 2.0Ghz already very high. -pWs- |

@ Soufly
Why my motherboard only allows me to boot when i set my vdimm 2.1v? Divider: 400 Timing: 5-5-5-15 (which is 667 SPD value) HTT: 240 Multiplier: 9x Any idea?? This is my corsair value ram. Is it ram problem or motherboard problem?? Thanks ya... -pWs- This post has been edited by -pWs-: Mar 2 2007, 10:37 PM |

QUOTE(soulfly @ Mar 3 2007, 07:42 PM) I'm not referring to performance... I'm referring to voltage requirement. As past post stated, I have manually set the timing to 5-5-5-15. When oc, the frequency is 466 (400 Memory Divider) with timing 5-5-5-15.tight timing = higher voltage as simple as that Theoritically, here i do not need extra voltage right? Here my question is why i need to pump vdimm in order to make it boot?? -pWs- This post has been edited by -pWs-: Mar 3 2007, 10:50 PM |

QUOTE(kurikuraX @ Mar 4 2007, 09:24 PM) guys, Im on my way to buy AM2 motherboard..my question is, can i use ddr400 ram into ddr2 board? DDR 400 (DDR) cannot be fixed into DDR2 slot. And AM2 all using DDR2.sorry for being nobbie.. as i not forget, there is one Abit mobo that have 4 slot...2 slot for ddr1 and another pair for ddr2...but forget the model name.. what is the different between Biostar TFORCE 550 and TFORCE 570? Im willing to buy one of these mobo in which my budget is around RM250 thanks Biostar TForce 550 and Biostar TForce 570. They use different chipset which is nforce 550 and nforce 570 if not mistaken -pWs- This post has been edited by -pWs-: Mar 4 2007, 09:43 PM |

QUOTE(soulfly @ Mar 4 2007, 10:13 PM) maybe differences in Trtp? Trc? Twr? Trrd? TrwTO? Twtr? Twrrd? Twrwr? Trdrd? Tref? Queue Bypass Max? Max Async Latency? Idle Cycle Limit? Trfc? Thanks all these changes when you use different divider, and they affect the memory controller and ram. memory timing is not only 5-5-5-15-2T... |
