maybe to pass higher HTT is depends on the proc it self i think ar....
if im not mistaken.... coz when using 3600+...i can just go 260mhz...if set to 270mhz or 280mhz will cold boot...then change to 3800+ now can do at 280mhz easy..at 290mhz also can..stable..can play game..run benchmark..but prime fail...
