Yes, but even after I fill up the tank fully, I could only get around 270km.. With normal town driving, based on my Fuelly siggy..
*
Very often I can go over 500 KM in one tank. Yesterday I've boosted hard up to 190KM/h, I'm sure this tank won't be good economy.

u will be surprised if u only pump half tank instead of full tank for city drive, u will get more mileage...
*
I pump up to the brim on weekend for 5% credit card weekend cashback + 2% credit card points equivalent + 1.5% Petron points equivalent, totaling on 8.5% discount when I fill up on weekends. laugh.gif

Hi guys..do anyone experience the cooling fan not running after stopping the engine? Is this normal
*
If short drive, the fan may not continue to spin after shutting engine. If I travel to KL, definitely it runs for about a minute.

why people hate proton so much ?
*
Because there is no pride in saying, I like Proton cars.

My Preve is just doing great, perfect, no major issues. No headache, just enjoyment.

I just now test drive suprima s with my mother, the performance top class, i can say this car can tapau any average car, just want to ask, how to reduce the noisy engine? Since that the only thing that wont impress my mother to buy ipreve for me. My mother really picky one. She owned merc, camry 2011, and new 2014vios. The cfe engine not that quite.
*
At normal driving, engine sound is quiet. So when test driving with your mum, drive it nicely on the road. Rev all you want when you're alone tongue.gif

I had engine stalled once when I'm reversing on a slope. Not an issue I assume, glitches does happen especially at slightly unusual operation condition.

Is the Preve's avg FC gauge accurate? I mean if you compare to manual calculation.

If I compare my car's (NOT Preve) average FC gauge vs manual calculation, it's about 0.1-0.3L/100km difference, so it's quite accurate.
*
My dashboard gauge shows 8.2L/100KM only.

I have changed my engine oil to a controversial Syntium 1000 15W-50. I have set my best fuel economy with it. Drove to and fro Ipoh with 6.1L/100KM (from fuelly, not gauge), equivalent to 16.3KM/L or 12.8 cents/km.

No sign of sluggishness or heavy feeling. I couldn't even tell that it's a thick 15W-50.

Agree on probable better protection. Especially on long drives, I have more confidence with the engine oil now

What if i already use fully syn on 1st service?

And i believe i wont reach 10k in 6months  sweat.gif
*
I use fully synthetic since first service. My change interval is 1000KM then 10000KM, then future would be 20000KM.

10000KM mileage or 6 months duration, whichever comes first. So even if you don't reach 10000KM, change it. Engine oil, especially with rare usage, will turn acidic with the humidity in the air.

hi, going to be a owner for either persona sv / preve soon, actually is my wife want to change car...

today goto proton edar , found out they hv latest promotion. persona around rm49 for sv type. promotion until end of the month is free 3 years car service.

as for preve, for auto executive type, car price around 61k, this promotion gv discount rm6k, so car price is rm55k (sales men mention is year 2013 car manufacturing).

price diff for preve and persona is around 8k. need sifu here to gv me some advise , and if sorry if the sames question has ask before :

1. fuel consumption :  only compare these 2 model car, which 1 is better ? as we all know petrol price always goes up hardly come down...

2. problematic : since is lady drive and going to use the car mainly to fetch son to school and to work.. we all wish the car perform as stable as it could ( i not expected qa/qc until toyata standard la but as good as myvi or better )

3. both car also within my affordable range as the 8k diff for 5/6 years loan makes not much diff , so which you pick ?

4. i am from klang, which sc is the most reliable near my area ?

5. which car is more silent when driving on highway ?
thanks in advance.
*
I have Persona and Preve.

Fuel consumption: Persona seems to win a bit overall due to weight. Preve can be competent, if driven carefully or on highways.

Reliability: My Preve relatively has no problems. My Persona had more occasion in service centre, but nothing is serious that affects driving and safety.

Ease of driving: Preve is heavier and wider. It is more relaxing to drive the Persona in town, but it is less tiring to travel outstation with the Preve. Some people may have difficulty to park both cars, especially the Preve.

Preve has better safety with ESC, BA, TC and 6 airbags. Better looking interior, more premium touch to it, at the expense of higher price. If you can spend the money, then Preve is a good choice.

Only the early early Gen2 or Persona has over heating issue. The later ones comes with 2 cooling fans.

The Preve CFE has one big one. My Persona and Preve never overheated, even though I used to drive hard with my Persona.

we all know that when car is locked, open twice then the door can be opened right?
on saturday, my friend try it while car is moving 100km/h on highway and it still can be opened.
isn't it dangerous?
*
The correct way is to educate the passenger not to open the door. wink.gif

isn't it the driver side door can be open like tat only ? or all the passenger door as well ?
*
All doors. 2 times, like BMW. Last time Mercedes, only require 1 time. For safety, passengers shouldn't have been locked inside.

For children, put them behind and turn on child lock on rear doors.

for me it just good to have collecting your shoe's dust and dirt so that easy for u to clean the car and to avoid contaminate your carpet. btw if this doesn't useful or bother, u can even not to get it place inside your car... i was told by SA why latest Preve not come with coil mat that's due to it block partial of fuel paddle level when press, and lots of owner miss-claimed Preve underpower haha... but i'm not sure how true is true.. i just listen and accept  biggrin.gif
may Sifu in this forum correct me if i'm wrong  notworthy.gif

Won't block. It has proper cut out for the fuel paddle

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ May 31 2014, 11:00 AM)
For Preve Turbo owners, do you notice that the vehicle registers better fuel economy when you drive at speeds below 90km/h? Yesterday I was driving between 70km/h to 90km/h along the highway (I rarely drive at these speeds), and the electronic mileage meter that shows the kilometres left before the fuel tank is empty doesn't nudge much even though I have driven for more than 30km??! The meter shows 420km left before the fuel tank is empty, and I was driving for like 20km+ and the 420km remains as it is, going down to 419km then 418km after I have driven close to 30km.

My usual driving speeds are 110km/h to 140km/h and the mileage meter drops rapidly at these speeds.

It appears that the optimum speed in registering good FC with this Preve Turbo is below 90km/h? Between 80km/h to 90km/h. The fuel meter doesn't seem to drop much when cruising at these speeds.

Does anybody share the same observation?
*
Best between 70-80km/h, before the wind resistance become significant.
