QUOTE(sanadi @ Mar 26 2014, 02:03 PM) Don't trust the SA, trust the engineers. They wrote the manual. And the recommended API SL 10W30 mineral or better. That means Syntium 3000 5W40 is very good enough for CFE. The engine was developed with help froum Lotus and designed to work with low viscosity engine oils. The turbo is Borg Warner KP39, and used by other car makers such as Ford and VW. VW recommends 5W40 and Ford recommend 5W30. Don't worry about 5W or 10W, just worry about the last part, i.e W40, W30. FYI I'm using Syntium 5000 0W30. Tesco always have promotion for Shell 5W-40 selling at only RM14x.... Damn if only I could bring this to SC ...

QUOTE(:3mushy:3 @ Mar 26 2014, 09:37 AM) The problem is, Proton don't allow you to use your own EO anymore for cars under warranty, so unless you'll be taking it to use on other cars, then it's ok. i mean the remaining oil in the bottle... or customer aren't allow to take back home?

QUOTE(fix24311 @ Mar 26 2014, 05:43 PM) Hi guys... See the picture below. Does this means Caltex 95 and BHP 97 gives me more mileage with my current driving style?
In my case.. yes indeed BHP has always give me more mileage compare to the rest. So far for this new car I have not used others anymore than BHP.. Perhaps will try when the tank dries up as I avoid mixing

Perhaps will try when the tank dries up as I avoid mixing I always thought all range of BHP are good, but if we read directly on the fuelly data, it seems BHP 97 gives more mileage than BHP 95, while on one hand, Caltex 95 can give similar result as BHP 97 EDIT: I'll always fill up whenever the reading left one bar, don't dare to wait until the last bar is blinking, afraid of what it would do to the fuel pump This post has been edited by fix24311: Mar 26 2014, 08:07 PM

I find BHP to suit the car best. More mileage, more responsive. I avoid Primax 95 at all cost, my car felt sluggish and contributed to lower mileage.

QUOTE(khairilyazit @ Mar 26 2014, 08:12 PM) what low milage? RM84 of Petronas Primax 95 I went from sentul to bota (perak) last week on full tank and managed to survive 600++km using shell 95... but I think its the attitude of the driver that affect the fuel consumption the most... I drove only +10kmh over the speed limit and forced myself not to hit the throttle too hard
