my first submission was KIV, because HLB doesn't accept online printed epf statement
took me a month and multiple calls to realize this, the telemarketer guy was agressive at chasing for my application
but failed to follow up this particular...terribly...

I canceled the application and resubmitted through another agent introduced by my friend
similar sheetz happens, CC department personnel called up to verify all my details, but progress stuck at card delivery
2 weeks of waiting, nobody call me but I called HLB for status update
HLB requires my utility bills to verify the delivery address...

another 2 weeks of waiting, there's still no delivery notice
again, I called my friend and asked him to request the tracking number from the agent
the card was actually ready for collection at pos laju office since last week....

collected the parcel, opened up and guess what I saw?
I applied for Gold Wise and HLB issued me a Platinum's.... shocking.gif
called up CC Customer Service requesting cancelation
a Malay woman answered my doubt and told me the annual fee is waivable with 12 swaps per annum doh.gif
I just hang up and recalled, another Indian girl answered and told me it's not
she said she'd proceed cancelation but unwilling to commit how long progress would take

another week gone without any feedback, I called up and lodge the complaint to another Malay guy
thank god he was helpful, he found no record of my previous complaint....
but he claimed cancelation could be done in 2-3 working days, and gave me a query number just in case
regarding the GST bill I've just received, he wrote in together as waive request

2 days later, a chinese girl from CC department called me for some verification works
and suggested me to swap the card within 45 days to get the GST waived
things starts to look like I've to resolve this on my own, rather than HLB finds its way to deal with this
some arguments, and she decided to proceed with my cancelation but leaving the GST to me, claimed that this is not part of her responsibility....

the agent had finally called me, after being pushed by my friend several times for follow up
again arguments, and she asked her manager to talk to me
blabliblubleblo, her manager agreed to waive the GST in the end

HLB? sorry the product may be the best but the way of servicing seriously pulls me off
Heard from my friend (he's working with HLA) that the agent will be interviewed by CS department manager next day, CS is taking this matter seriously, and my friend is trying to bring the girl down by login another complaint with the written support from HLA President Club member sweat.gif

confirm online EPF statement will not be accepted. i specifically asked this when the telemarketer/agent called me to prepare the documents, especially EPF statement. I had to hunt and rush to nearby EPF kiosk just to get the dreaded statement. rclxub.gif

the form does indicate the Wise Gold selection, but the agent or even the bank office may somehow upgrade it due to your income qualification.

in my case, 1st verification by agent, i specifically mentioned to get Wise Gold only. Agent was stunned for a moment, reconfirm again my Gold selection.

2nd verification by bank officer, again, i stated to apply Wise Gold only. Officer was calm and proceed with other info verification (literally item by item from the application form).

I've no idea on that, strictly only statement printed from AMB/RHB/KWSP kiosk
The preference is stated clearly, HLB explanation to this:
"upon assessment, we'll auto-upgrade the option to Plat if criteria is met"
well, that just sounds stupid to have those options made available...
Btw, annual fee of plat is way higher than gold's

now i'm still waiting for approval and what card they're giving me (even with my explicit request for Gold)

Pls make sure the agent/cs tick the gold card box in the application form..After you sign, consider you agreed the information written in form..
I did checked mine and confirm is gold card..

This card is like...a tool to promote n ramdomly given to qualify applicant.


I hv got 3 fren wrk in same company.

P, C, J

P is manager of C n J

P income 33k, C 11k n J 8k monthly.

Apply same time at mitc mlk roadshow.

The 1 gt the card is C only!

Wan produce CB card but dunwan allowed ppl to own/benefit from it. Lolx.

Yup, but it is a big concern for me... shocking.gif
Since AF is not waiveable, rm300,platinum is more than rm160, gold....

true. let's see how this goes. considering i get RM50 rebate and 1st year AF waiver, perhaps i'd just keep it for <1year, then chop it off.

coming GST in April 2015, i'm sure there are few banks gonna introduce more "rewarding" cards to entice customers to spend/swipe more using their cards, instead of repelling them off.
