QUOTE(b5n111 @ Apr 6 2014, 01:49 PM) Hmm, what thoughts? haha.I'm still learning the whole scuba diving culture and all. (newbie here) For me, if generally someone does a good job for me, i'll consider tipping (base on personal finance But if these guys did a good job in ensuring my safety and showing me a good time, why not? |

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Apr 9 2014, 09:40 PM) How's the corals in those areas? Are they still colourful?I went to Redang twice with approximately 8 years gap in between, there's a big difference 8 years later - all mostly dead, left with the fishes only. So I'm wondering whether I should even go to Lang Tengah, Kapas or Perhentian. |

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Apr 9 2014, 09:40 PM) Thanks for reply! Yes, it will be one of these island.. Any recommended dive centre which is running any promotion or packages? Sub RM1k should be sufficient for an all-in 4d3n trip isn't it? |

QUOTE(NightHeart @ Apr 9 2014, 09:48 PM) How's the corals in those areas? Are they still colourful? I don't remember how Redang was like 8 years ago. I went to Redang twice with approximately 8 years gap in between, there's a big difference 8 years later - all mostly dead, left with the fishes only. So I'm wondering whether I should even go to Lang Tengah, Kapas or Perhentian. I quite like Tioman, coral bleaching here and there though. The last I went to Lang Tengah was about 3 years ago, corals were not bad. QUOTE(bizaxx @ Apr 9 2014, 10:42 PM) Thanks for reply! Yes, it will be one of these island.. I think either one of those islands also will be good. |

I don't think that there is any promo going on atm but might want to call and ask. |

QUOTE(bizaxx @ Apr 9 2014, 09:38 PM) Hi, If you're alone, do some research and just walk in to any DC at any island. No need packages. Can anyone intro some 4d3n dive packages for end of April? Anyone or anywhere to recommend? Tq in advanced! If I give you a suggestion on where and with who to do your course, I will be bias. Lol. Anyway, anywhere you go, the base price for a PADI Open Water Diver course should be around RM1,000. Boat/ferry transfer should be around RM60-80. Marine Park Fee RM5-15. Accommodation depending on your budget from RM20 and above. F&B varies.. |

Lang Tengah a lot of Giant Clam [last visit 2009]. Try Tenggol or Tioman if you wanna see beautiful corals... Tioman - Tiger Reef, Kg Genting House Reef, Pulau Renggis.. Tenggol - a lot of Nudi, Whaleshark (seasonal) Perhentian - Tokong Laut, T3, Coral Garden (many bumphead) |

QUOTE(NightHeart @ Apr 9 2014, 09:48 PM) How's the corals in those areas? Are they still colourful? huge difference! I started going to east coast islands since the mid 90s.... there's significant difference in coral health, visibility and marine life......with the amount of snorkelers and divers now, I think east coast gonna be similar to the current dive quality in west coast in 10 years time....I went to Redang twice with approximately 8 years gap in between, there's a big difference 8 years later - all mostly dead, left with the fishes only. So I'm wondering whether I should even go to Lang Tengah, Kapas or Perhentian. This post has been edited by DrBarbarian: Apr 10 2014, 09:55 AM |
