It bit off part of your fin? Really lucky la you. Anyone took video of the whole ordeal? tongue.gif

jakesean your triggerfish attack not so bad laa haha.

QUOTE(botterjr @ Apr 4 2014, 07:34 PM)
You guys mentioned about tipping boats man or DM.
Just want to know, is this an unspoken culture/courtesy? Would like to understand more on this culture..

Thanks in advance.
*
For me, it's a yes too. I don't usually tip boatmen unless I find them really good. But I do usually tip the DM and/or dive center.

It's not mandatory to tip.

QUOTE(botterjr @ Apr 4 2014, 09:35 PM)
oo. hmm.
So when do you usually tip them, at the end of the trip ?

Also you mentioned 0-5%-10%, what does that mean? mind elaborating?

1 more thing, do you tip as a group or as individual, just curious.

many thanks. smile.gif
*
At the end of the trip of course. If I go alone, I'll tip as an individual. If go as a group, will have a group tip and if anyone wanna tip the DM individually, are free to do so.

You could say the average is possibly 5-15% of the total dive bill.

Tip is just part and parcel only. Treat them nice and also be fair to them also, coz they are working for their dive operator.

To me, dm s one important factor of how well will will our trip be...

Every1 of us varies in our own financial status, any1 thinks of "few words of complement"...

I think it giving a "test bite" only... No video recorded and no serious injuries. But the experience, wow and wild!

But I armed with pointer and octopus, ready to counter/purge it if it returning third/forth time.

I heard some people got bitten b4, finger cracked, head bleed, first stage got bite and pull away etc...

Seems expensive to me but depends on how many nitrox dives given and where.

your fb pictures privacy make us cant see it.

Side mount is nice and cool but better go for nitrox 1st. no point using side mount unless u doing deep or cave and so on.

I put flight mode, but sleep mode when not takin picture so prevent fog by overheating under water
Usually lasts 3 dives 100% to 10% batt
