QUOTE(sukesh123 @ Sep 3 2014, 03:30 PM) hi Friends, Buy VIOSFirst my intro. sukesh123, M-Line, AMT, Tranquility Black, Sep06, 140000 KM as of Sep 2014. I have been going through a lot of threads lately on Savvy. My mistake was i didnt research more before buying a savvy and now when i have bought one no use in being wise or regret on my decision to buy a second hand car which has so many problems. ALthough til now i have faced problem of speed sensor. but there is oil leak that is happening and i need to fill up the AMT oil on periodic basis to keep the Auto light from glowing. ( I find the cost of refilling to be much cheaper than goinf for the full overhaul of the AMT system as suggested in the threads) what i would like to know from you guys is is it a better choice for people like me who are short on case to either 1. Buy 2006 SAVVY AMT in RM 8000 then later spend around 2-3 K on getting it repaired.(Which i have done) 2. Buy 2006-7 MYVI for 22000 and maybe spend around RM 500 in repairs. which would be a better choice. Also if you can help me out whether i should let the oil leak problem be there and ignore till the AMT auto light does not glow. I got it checked with Renautech and they suggested an amount of RM 2000 to fix the problem. Sukesh |

QUOTE(us9392 @ Sep 9 2014, 12:54 AM) Hello David Sifu Firstly, get the jumper cable and jump start it. According to your description, it looks more like battery KO. How long the battery has been used? Usually battery only good for 1.5 years. Anything above that is consider bonus ady. Also check if you're using wet battery. If yes, try to unlock the cap and inspect whether there's enough battery water, if not then top it up. Drive the car around in the evening without akon/headlights for 15~30minutes so your alternator can charge the battery. If all that to no avail, it's better to send to battery shop, ask magician to use the load tester to load the battery to inspect whether it's a need to get the battery changed. Small matter nia.Over weekend , I could not start my savvy , just resting for 2 days. Turn the ignition key nothing happen, not even the starter sound. Have to borrow red and black cables from neighbour and his car to restart . Question is : time to change battery or something wrong with the fuel pump ? And any other thing that needs to be changed . I dont want the car to die while driving on the highway. Thank you. Century Marathoner - between RM150~RM180 depending on the shop selling price. Some even trade in your old battery for a good -20 rebate. Good luck |

QUOTE(richarddrifter @ Sep 16 2014, 07:36 PM) Thanks for shifu suggestions. 1st, take out TDC sensor. Ka ee spray WD40 hor ee clean tambokia, brush the sensor head with steel brush. If got pomen, ask the fella do for yiu. After clean jor, break the TDC connector bracket, lepastu direk sambung it to TDC sensor, use solder to weld 9 it on the sensor baru plonkl back on the flywheel housing.I changed tdc sensor only . Potong pomen bluffing me they dun solder tdc if necessary. Then he recommend change fuel filter, walao eh when take out that fuel filter, kopi o color petrol spilled out  . Looks like never change during this 9 years. But the car still kadang kadang cannot start. Tow to potong sc cos I dunno where specialist doctor for Savvy in jb. If i sent the car to outside workshop, those half bucket water pomen saw my car would said " walao eh. Why you buy a ranjiao car? You jia lat si beh Kao lat loh, this car spare part si beh mahal loh. I think ur car ecu kaput, starter kaput...blar blar blar but they haven't touch my car already knew where the part kaput? :stars: Again under persuade of potong, says 100kkm 9years car fuel pump tak elok lagi. Sometimes got electric , sometimes not. So change that fuel pump. Mana tahu after 2 days wukekeke cannot start again. :x Alamak. Buang kereta Kat potong for 3 days. He say turtle body half dead, show " motorised throttle body failure" in computer checking. Still can use but not really rosak at all. If cannot start again can try cabut socket throttle keluar then pasang balik. :x I love my savvy so much for it's ride and handling. Savvy always my dream car when I was study sekolah kebangsaan when 2005. But the cannot start problem was a pain in arse. Sakit dekat buntut :x As for the totobodi, usually is too much dirt sangkut at the elektrik motor. Yiu know Shawie PCV not too efficient geh, always suck engine oil into intake valve. So, as days goes by more engine oil suck in, more dust stuck on the oily surface. Sooner a later mai bkam rike dis lorh, totomoto stuck 9 lan 7 jor, the komtuper mai diagnose as totobodi rosaked lor. Usually hor, gengcao magician will dismantle the entire totobodi, use petrol to clean 9 the entire module. Clean & dry jor put back everything, lastly use OBD to calibrate back the totoposition den gao dim jor. Lastaim Renautech did it for me, no need change totobodi sumoar :w As NOX instruction, can go mudah buy 1 2ndhen & keep dulu, until reli rosaked baru change lor, eh zhai ia boh? |
