Cool, on a serious note when u come back down from genting, how much fuel was left in ur tank? The stalling might be due to low fuel if ur tank is low on fuel..

V12Kompressor Thanks if you can pin this to 1st page.
I believe a lot of FLX or FL members face water vapor problems with their headlights irrespective of which side of the headlights. Most would have go to claim for a new one from Proton but reason of leakage and vapor appearing inside the headlight was still unknown to many. The water vapor problem happen to myself also on my Right headlight. Given that I have tried dismantling the lens cover from a OEM headlight I have come to a conclusion that vapour could not have entered due to poor sealing of the sealant because I've previously posted that the sealant is as thick as hell. Upon further checking I found the culprit of the leaking was due to the signal rubber gasket and the position of the signal socket area will easily have water stagnant around the socket after a car wash or heavy rain. If serious case, water or moisture will sips into the headlights through the bad gasket. I solved this problem by replacing the socket's gasket with a taiwan made headlight signal socket. I'm not sure if you can just buy the socket gasket from spare part shop or you can try to buy the signal socket and only use the gasket. I have changed mine few months back and have gone through multiple car wash and lately super heavy rain and no water vapour have appear inside my headlight anymore. Example of the signal socket gasket (blue colour) This picture is for reference only. ![]() This post has been edited by TitanRev: Mar 22 2014, 11:15 AM |

QUOTE(Joe Kreutz @ Mar 24 2014, 01:40 PM) Thank you for your reply, I asked this same question at persona group and 1 guy said if I add the fog lamp at the proton service centre and let the proton guy install it it won't void the warranty When it comes to wiring, you either send it to the pros who SERIOUSLY knows how to do them well and pay more or just leave it as it is and not let half pass 6 people go play with it.....wiring problem is the hardest to diagnose and solve one.... Different guy seems to have different opinion And is it important to keep the electrical wiring under warranty?? |

QUOTE(Joe Kreutz @ Mar 24 2014, 01:58 PM) So, the best way to install fog lamp is to do it with a professional who won't mess with the car original wiring system right?? Put the warranty thing aside. Any changes to original spec or wiring will void your warranty. Just like how your electronic stuff got a sticker there that says "warranty voided if tempered" Anyway, anybody here know how long is the warranty for saga sv?? Like.. Engine = 3 years Suspension= 1 year Electrical = 1year Etc.. Etc.. I'm planning to get 1 this week , so I'm doing my research right now, didn't expect lowyat forum would be this helpful Need to spend more time here Why I mentioned you need to find professional to do it is because it will reduce or eliminate the chances of a problem from happening in the future even if your warranty if voided at least you have a piece of mind knowing that the guys who help you install this or that know what's he's doing. Finding the right guy for the right job.... |
