Hi guys. So fast new thread already. Very hot weather in Bangkok and good thing is my job already settle earlier than I expected so I will be coming back to Malaysia this evening. So much to share with you guys on my virgin trip to Bangkok. I didn't go to a lot of places due to my customer advice me quite some area is not safe since the riot is on the move now, heard the news they changed the place just 2 streets away from my hotel.

I will also share with you guys my dyno run result which yield very good results which exceeded my expectation of my estimated wheel Hp.

Upcoming track day on Apr/May/Jun (Date TBC)

It will be a "have-fun" track day. Strictly not competitive.

Siapa mau?
*
I mau....

BTW, here's the Dyno run result....Actually I didn't expect that have 90+ on the wheel....since my car was stock and only light mods so my expectation was if I can get 85+ something than happy already as I need to minus off the lost from the gearbox and friction....I notice that my car is running lean at high rpm..low and to mid end the guy said my AF is very good and stable. Seeing the chart and knowing I'm only 5whp short from getting the 100 mark...I really have the urge to try it out....but getting another 5 from NA is not going to be easy....but if I can do that, it will be very cool...and I will be able to have a 1L to 100hp engine....Hahahaha....really dreaming of that....like what Honda have for their type R engine...2L outputting 200+ hp...

After print out...

from the chart during high rev slightly below 14 AF. still consider lean ?
the torque is really nice.  thumbup.gif
*
That's what he told me...maybe is the rev close to the rev limit that section...just maybe....but how I see the chart also the AF i ok for the entire range....maybe he meant rich....I think the car can produce more power if it run leaner but my FLX is returnless fuel rail so cannot use AFR also....

Iska, dyno run or test is to see or check whether the mods you did to your car really improve or not. Like how mighty car mod guys did.

2ndly, dyno run is also useful to check your engine health and AF ratio over the entire rpm range in actual driving condition. One also can use a dyno machine to tune a car that is installed with aftermarket piggyback, standalone ECU or adjust the AF ratio on the fuel regulator...etc

sifu explanation is the best~!  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

Me not sifu la.....like iska said David's explanation is better but I also want to see how david explain it.

iska, also a dyno chart is useful for the driver to know how the engine outputs power and the torque curve so you can use that information to change your driving style so that your engine can performance better....for example, at what rpm, my torque is how much then what gear to use..etc...etc...this is useful for track driving but also can be used on daily driving one..I'm still learning to interpret the chart and use that info.

alot ppl will bang wall after hearing your torque is not nice.
i believe further improvement will require quite some $$ with the state of the ride.
need to touch internal parts ?
*
Really?? why? I find my torque curve quite normal...

further mod will be more expensive already and not going to do any soon also...if want more power will need to increase the CR, stroke up the capacity, currently, my internal mods are all DIY home made stuff....no bench flow test, certified and just learn from overseas forum....but now I focus on upgrading the brakes, and more tuning on the suspension. Power wise, is enough for now and more important is how to put all those horses to good use and how to improve on the braking.

maybe is just me, the torque is stable entire rpm range which is very good.
from your chart i am seeing ~ 10% from max torque entire rpm range.
if i am not wrong, for our engine the different from max torque during 3k rpm or above 5k rpm should be way more than that which would make it a steep torque climb from 3k onward & downward after 5k rpm. hence the reason i say ppl will bang wall.
by stroke up to 1.6 u would be able to increase the CR at the same time.
do correct me if i have mistaken the info.
*
Oh...now I understand what you mean...is my torque curve very flat....I never saw other BLM torque before....would be nice if can see it so I know what's the difference. I got suggestion to use 1.6 rod and maintain 1.3 piston...

Got money doesn't mean we should spend it willy-nilly, must spend wisely to retain wealth.

Instead of spending money upgrade the internals and the displacement, you should make use of what you already have and transplant the RB38DETT into your gaga  nod.gif  nod.gif  notworthy.gif

Bank got good offer to help settle my credit card debt lol, 8% pa instead of 18%, 2 year repayment and can early settlement without penalty.

The catch is your willpower: the money will be in your saving account and not automatically paid to credit card. and your cc limit raised.
in my case, they want to more than double (err, i think triple jor lol) my current credit card limit which is MYR 28k. 28k is... a huge sum, to say the least LOL

and yes i currently got 10k credit card debt.
rich? if rich i won't have to take this poison of an offer la. as bad it may be, it's the lesser of evils.

Should use cage la, let them go at the mountains. They are innocent one bro. Just looking for food. Pity them to be born as rat.
*
No, cage will just give you too much after work when you trap a rat. If our area don't have forest or what, you will have problem. The area a mouse wonder is 5KM in radius.

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Mar 6 2014, 05:42 PM)
sometimes may not kill straight, and that's when they REALLY suffer.

seen before half broken head/necks/limbs/tail but they still moving/breathing/struggling?

fact: there really isn't much humane way to get around this unless you're there at the trap 24/7 to put swift death to any poor rodent that will get screwed by it.
*
It depends on what trap you use. I have China made ones and from US also (Victor). I don't use poison also because it also suffer and when they die and rot in a small place hard to get them out. Effective way to reduce mouse population is with snap trap. Fast and quick.

How you want your trap to really kill fast is the spring they use. The stronger the strike the faster it kills them because you break the spine instantly. If you know when mouse got hurt they make noise and suffer but if the trap is quick if kills it instantly without the mouse making any noise. Last time when I move in to my house there was rats at the water tank area, they some how climb the drainage pipe up to the concrete slab there. I plug the hole and problem solve before I notice the drain hole I just put traps at strategic location.

Another method is to use electrode type mouse trap....go google it.

This is the brand I got..couple with the china ones (modified with stronger trap spring)....

that's pretty advanced, i do admit i never looked into them since i never really had any rat infestation problem.

though, those wouldn't come cheap right? i believe most wouldn't bother spending a lot just to deal with rats while there are plentiful of much cheaper solution
*
The trap I bought from US is more expensive than our china made ones but they are very effective but the china one also can be effective is modify the right way. Most would just call in pest control to solve the problems with poison. I also started off with rat poison when I 1st encounter the problem then I start to look for info then stop the poison and change to trap. My house now also don't have rats but my area here have due to other neighbours they always cooking and got 1 house is unoccupied so the rats might have venture out to look for food from other places and so ngam come my house. My neighbours they seem not bother by it but I am since I'm a person who like clean and hygienic environment more so now that I have a daughter. I won't want them to get sick or my property damage or burn down due to rats biting on wires. I have climb up to my roof and check for rat nest by thank god no la...

Anyway, just want to share this with you guys. This car belong to my customer friend. They are Japanese and he told me there also a KPGC10 which is the grandfather for Skyline...I'm in touch with my customer and planning for a meet up with the owners in Apr. I really love this Datsun S2000 and the Hakosuka....these cars still fetch pretty high price in Japan.

The Datsun s2000 I posted here cost 2Mil Japanese Yen as of now which is about MYR63K+ I wonder how much if would cost here. The owner manage to find this datsun in United States and have it brought back to Japan hence the LHD. Those Watanabe rims really yum yum
