1) Model : Perodua MyVi (M)
2) Petrol Used : Synergy F1
3) Engine Oil Used : Perodua 5W-30 Semi-Synthetic oil
4) Fuel Consumption : 19.5KM/L
5) Driving Condition :Old Road
6) Average Speed: 100km/h
7) Latest mileage : 15K km
8) Modification : All stock
9)Loading: Me and my wife (A/C on all the time)

Sure or not? I don't believe lar...what is "Old Road"? Bumpy road?

1) Model : Perodua MyVi (M) 1.3 SXi
2) Petrol Used : Usually Shell Green (not that i like it, but they have the most stations).
3) Engine Oil Used : Perodua 5W-30 Semi-Synthetic oil
4) Fuel Consumption : 15Km/l
5) Driving Condition : City driving, usually around SPRINT/LDP/PJ/KL
6) Average Speed: 60 to 80km/h....when open road go for 100km/h
7) Latest mileage : ???
8) Modification : All stock (except the Horn...LOL)
9)Loading: 2 Adults 1 kid, Air Cond on.

1) Model : Proton Savvy (M)
2) Petrol Used : Usually Shell Green (not that i like it, but they have the most stations).
3) Engine Oil Used : Petronas 5W-30 Semi-Synthetic oil
4) Fuel Consumption : 14.x km/l
5) Driving Condition : City driving, usually around SPRINT/LDP/PJ/KL
6) Average Speed: 60 to 80km/h....when open road go for vroom vroom.
7) Latest mileage : 21k
8) Modification : All stock
9)Loading: 2 Adults 1 kid, Air Cond on.

BTW, I don't believe X Brand petrol gives more mileage than Y brand petrol. Power yes, but not mileage. I've done test with my MYVI with Shell, Mobil. Petronas, BP etc, over a few months...no significant difference at all. Only conclusion is Petronas no power. So anything except Petronas is fine with me.

06 Honda City VTEC
100% city: 10-12 km/L (i don't drive like grandma. Always pull ahead when the light turns green)
100% highway: 14-16km/L (averaging 110-120km/h) 7km/L if at 170km/h

btw, can u guys post mileage like km/L or L/km or MPG
Don't post RM/km or whatever RM can go whatever KM
we don't know what type of fuel u are using & if the price changes, that data is invalid.
Use consistent units.

I'm using RON92
even if i use 97, the mileage will still be the same unless if i tune my car for RON97
*
I second that!!! People!! Use KM/litre is the best measurement!!! 3 months down the road, the fuel price hike again...all the data will be invalid if you use RM/KM!!!!

Do everyone a service and post non-expirable data!!!

It is so difficult, when you go to a thread, wanna check out the car FC...have to look at the post date and try to figure out what's the price during that time because people are posting by RM/litre!!! doh.gif

Digital meters are not accurate. Don't believe it. Use manual calculations most accurate.

Now im using Fuelly to do the calculation.. is Fuelly accurate?

If you fill up the info correctl (kilometre since last fuel up) and the litre you pump at the station, it should be correct.

Ex: Since last fuel up, you reset to 0, so now your tank empty, you fuel up again and write down the km since the last reset. The amount you pump in now will be the amount you have used since the last fuel up and the km is the distance that has gone using this amount of fuel.
So km/l= distance (km) since last fuel up/ amount of petrol you pump in now. This is same as manual calculation method.

In this sense, Fuelly is accurate.

However, to be more accurate, it is best you back to the same petrol station from your last fuel up (better yet, same pump)...as different petrol station might have different fuel limit due to the fuel sensor difference.

OK, I currently put like this

Kilometres since last fuel-up : (last fuel up I reset the meter, so this time I wanna pump fuel again I write down how far I travelled since last fuel up issit?) 357.8 KM

in Litres, I put the Litres that has been printed on the receipt, eg. 38.187

Price/Liter : I put 1.900

correct?
*
Yep. This means ur mileage = 357.8/38.187= 9.36 km/l

Normally cars >1.8 having low RPM for higher speed lor..even my old Civic 1.8 was doing m,uch better than my new Sonata..I was getting 2100rpm ~110km/hr and at 120km/hr ~2300rpm. On sonata, 120km/hr needs 2500rpm.. sad.gif ..Anyway, irregardless the higher than Civic 1.8 rpm, I luv the car due to cool design & superior comfort level that Civic can't do haha

Sonata 2.0cc? How's the FC in city drive and highway drive?

I already posted the highway drive earlier ..almost 100% highway at 110km/hr-120km/hr (80%=120km/hr) getting 7.7ltr/100km or 13km/ltr

On 100% city + jam, I'm currently getting ~ 12-13 Ltr/100km or ~ 8.4km/ltr - 7.6km/ltr..well still new..haha..milleage not yet touch 1300km.. & not yet send for 1st 1000km service too!
*
Oopss...sorry...haha. Pretty decent FC almost same as my Inspira 2.0 on highway....120km/h-160km/h (80%=120km/h)...14km/l.

FC in city 12-13ltr/100km? Almost same also.

If this magnet thing can work, Proton will have put 100 of them in each CAMPRO car....so u think leh???

Nothing to do with the fuel lar....RON 95 and RON 97 not much difference...it's the car. Probably engine old liao....

It's the BRAND of the fuel my friend. Try changing to other brand BHP or CALTEX with RON95.
*
It's the road you drive and the car my friend. I've done enough testing on my cars to confirm 100% nothing to do with brands. Done Shell, Petronas, BHP, Esso/Mobil. Even if there is, the difference are minimal with a variance of 0.3 km/l, more likely due to road conditions and driving style then fuel.

IMHO this is a for FUN thread...stats here not 2b taken too seriously lo. tongue.gif

FC is affected by so many variables esp :
1. Driver's driving style, namely type of right foot;
2. Road conditions...by itself so many variables;
3. Car condition incl variations in weight, load on board eg passengers, items in car, etc;
4. Method of filling up fuel tank eg judgement of "full tank"?;
5. Quality of petrol @different petrol stations eg probable adulteration?
AND many more...

FC is alwaz an interesting discussion topic... rclxm9.gif

Juz that... interesting...

Enjoy yr ride! That's MORE important... whistling.gif icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Exactly....all these are un-regulated statistics....lots of people still dun know how to calculate FC the proper way...and you can never expect two cars travelling on different routes to have same FC on a regular basis.
