9) Full tank total km: 350km-380km....no matter tekan or highspeed..not much different

Added on February 1, 2009, 11:37 pmtry changing to lighter engine oil (w40,w30)...pump ur tyre around 230kpi, try to use mobile,bhp,castrol engine oil...heard is better..
results will improve after 10000km..mine gets better after 15000km...before that 300km for a full tank....chill out buddy..

2) Petrol Used : Petronas Primax 3 only. Petronas gives my car most mileage.
3) Engine Oil Used : Perodu semi synthetic oil
4) Driving Condition : Town + highway
5) Speed: Drive around 110-120km/h daily on highway to and back from office. Town around 60-90km/h. 120km/h @ 3300rpm
6) Latest mileage : 141,xxx km
7) Modification : None, all stock
8) Full tank 35liter (i think)=RM63 (1.80 per liter)
9) Full tank total km: 550-600km. tekan also can achieve this mileage

mixed driving - 15km/l - 17km/l

I think 14.5km/l mixed city/highway driving is possible. My short distant city driving FC is about 12km/l, while purely highway is about 16-20km/l depending on how fast I want.

hi there,

I just got a new saga BLM last week and i pump in rm40 (rm1.8/l)and i think max i can only get 200km. Drive mix but mostly in town.

so my question is does anyone think this is quite high FC although some said this new saga blm FC will improve overtime maybe after u reach the first 5k km ?

on the other hand, my car fc might be higher now probably coz im not so good in driving manual. i've been driving auto since i got my license (5yrs ago).

pls advice if my car's performance is normal or else im worried i just got a poor condition car and will have to go thru hell with proton.

Finally got my engine retune after 6k km,
now with full tank i can go 400km with 36liter petrol, mine is Manual

hi ychwang, is the FC better after retune? did u do hi-scan? thanks.

actually i'm not sure is it retune or drive slow make my FC improve

1st tank after retune
330km/tank at 32liter, retune after 100km and i start to drive n change gear at 2krpm (before that i switch 2-3k rpm)

2nd tank after retune
400km/tank at 36liter, fuel light lit up at 380km, but i still continue drive for another 20km and manage to fill in 36 liter.

3rd tank
drive 140km then refill back to full, took me 13liter(got rev hard till 6k rpm few time, change gear at 2-3k rpm)

btw, what do u mean by hi-scan?

hi-scan is ecu tunning, ecu is located at the bottom of the front passenger seat for most of proton cars.

Ur BLM Fc is normal. a fren of mine said the normal consumption for full tank before ur 1st service will be 200km.. so no need to worry that much. u haven't seen my Swift FC yet.. jaz pick it up last week, n the FC is so mad, u tink its a ferrari.
