Naza Citra ll RONDO 2.0L

New car 1st week:

11.5L/100KM

now 1st month old, after 1st service:

10L/100KM

Fuel capacity 55L, max fill around $135.00.
*
Let me convert for you.

11.5L/100Km = 8.6957KM/L - Thats one thirsty 2.0L
10L/100KM= 10KM/L - Thats slightly better. Hope for 11KM/L

I see you are kinda promoting this Naza Citra II Rondo ever since its launched. I have a strong gut feeling you are Naza's Salesman. icon_idea.gif
Correct me if I were to be wrong.

Check your threads here.

I think my FC was too high... Right?
*
Way Way too high. Please dont use Petronas or worse, Shell. It runs best on Esso on Fuel economy and best power output or BHP for optimum FC.
Otherwise it can use Caltex which delivers average fuel economy.

Also, please don't use over-thick oils such as Castrol 20w-50. That will kill the engine slowly, and also kill the FC.

Use 10W-40 or monogrades. Best of course is 10W-30 but monitor the oil consumption as old engines tend to consume faster than 40.

I got 1.3 Satria year 1997, manual
highway drive around 90 to 105kmph 600KM for 39litle. 15.38KM/L

if driving 100% city 485km for 39little
if driving 80-90kmph in most of the time, 535km for 39little.

i trip it every time i pump petrol, and i can get the figure most of the time.

using ESSO ron95 with Semi-syn engine oil, if used the normal engine oil, i will get 100km lesser.

I normally service my car 5 months, and usually after 10,000km of travle.
*
485km for 39little = 12.44km/l for city driving.
Thats slightly better than my Wira 1.3 Aeroback.
Mine is average around 11Km/l now for city driving. Hoping to get 12Km/L with the help of Kancil oil.

And I tried ESSO fuel , just 1 tank only...can feel the fuel consumption is immediately horrendous. rclxub.gif
So it's recommended to use SHELL petrol for Wira/Satria 4G1x engine.

I am using Shell Helix HX5 10w-30...the oil which mechanics brand it "Kancil oil".

Full Tank RM90 run for only 270-300km

60% Highway, 40% City. 80km/h-100km/h usually, 2800-3000rpm.
sometimes do run in 40km/h-60km/h if I not really want to back to home that fast. 1500-2100rpm.

sad.gif May I know what should I do for it to let it not to be a Thirsty Car? sad.gif

Holy Cow! shocking.gif
This is only 2.2L , but your best record is only 6KM/L ? shocking.gif
Even an SUV with 2.0L won't be that thirsty! This is only a sedan car.

I think you should really send to a Honda specialist to check it out. Something really not right.
Tuning totally out, Bro.

how you know it's the car problem? Maybe it's the driver problem. Fast accelerations, step on brake a lot, unneccesary rev and so on.....drive like shit, fc also like shit... tongue.gif
not saying driver is shit but just saying not always car problem....
*
I agree with you also la, Abu, about driver's right foot.
But If you see he claims about 130-150Km for RM 50 or max 230KM per RM 90
All that averages about 6KM/L.

if it's a 3000CC engine SUV or MPV, then it's Normal la..
But this one is a 2200cc , sedan car.. a figure should be around 9km/L, the best 10km/L or more.

And if you see he claims he drives "60% Highway, 40% City. 80km/h-100km/h usually, 2800-3000rpm", should be achieving better than that. That means he drives moderately.
And he claims also he drives slowly when he is not in a hurry as what he quote
"sometimes do run in 40km/h-60km/h if I not really want to back to home that fast. 1500-2100rpm."

So IMO, I dont think it's driver issue.

I Agree with azeemzuhair

Hypermilling is good, but it needs loads of constant right foot discipline.
And get ready to be honked and sworn by other drivers.
I tried it, but I admit, my discipline can't last a full tank...today I can be an angel, tomorrow and few days later..I'm back to being a devil. blush.gif

(And I dont understand some Hybrid car drivers here, still want to speed very fast on the road, with a Hybrid. Then whats the point of buying a Hybrid??)

Okay, back to Harry93's Accord.

I did a search on Fuelly.com
http://www.fuelly.com/car/honda/accord

if you see those 1994, 95, 96,97 Accord.
All average about 10.63 KM/L to 11.05KM/L.
Mind you, thats average, real life driving from real drivers. Not test track drivers.
And yes, US do have traffic jams.

So as you can see, Harry's Accord is way way off the averages.
If it were me, I would start pinpointing the engine itself.

For Proton Wira users, dont ever ever use/support Petronas Primax. Blood sucking petrol.

Here is mine using Petronas.

Car Type : Wira 1.3
a.KMs : 260 KM
b.RM : 40.00
c.Ratio : RM0.15/km
d. 12.4KM/L
Engine Oil: Shell Helix HX3 10W-30
And this is most of the time on highway..less on city driving rclxub.gif

And here is mine using Shell
a. KMs: 220KM
b: RM : 30
c: Ratio: RM 0.14/KM
d: 13.9KM/L

My bro in law's Jazz with same engine and 5 speed auto tranny.
Always stuck in traffic jams. 100% full city driving.

You know what his computer odometer read out averages consistently? 6.9km/l. Yes.
No joke. I took a snapshot of it. I reset 2 times already each fuel up still averages the same figure.m
Mileage already 3500km.

This is because the gearbox Is rather tuned to be more aggressive in performance than to save fuel. Its difficult to drive with low revs in a Jazz/city. It always wants to rev high, even if step on the accelerator mildly. In other words it feels very spirited, like a mini performance hot hatch or sedan. Difficult to tame a spirited car like this one.
After all, its a Honda.

Even a 2.4l Harrier SUV shows much better fc of 8km/l, due to constant low revs, and engine doesnt need to work that hard.

Getting 10.5km/l for city driving, and driving a 1400kg mpv is an improvement over Innova. Especially when the turbo boost + cvt is additive. (I love blowing away those cars at green light).

My family exora still new. Now showing avg 12.x L/100km. Need time. Who cares if the badge is PROTON from the outside. its the european engineering in the engine compartment that counts. im loving it. (Sorry proton bashers)

There can be only few answers

1) He just reset the trip meter or he just fuel up (and thats why the fuel consumption meter show new, but very high consumption reading), cause the petrol needle is at F and he baru just drove out of the petrol station.

2) Idling or redline the engine for a damn long time after just done Item # 1.

26L/100KM is equivalent to 3.8KM/L. Nah, I wont buy that.

For city driving it can vary from 10.6L - 12.3L/100km, depending on the driver's right foot and the petrol brand.
In km/l , thats 8.1km/l to 9.4km/l.
Highway driving can go as low as 8l/100km (12.5km/l)

Shell is the worst enemy for exora turbo. Thats why i got 8.1km/l cry.gif

BTW, where were you heading?

Based on your time differences, its about 18 mins drive,
At 80Km/H , my guess is that you probably done about 24 Kilometres.

Speed Calculator

I still think you need to cover at least 100KMs to get a more accurate figure.
