QUOTE(kadajawi @ Oct 31 2016, 07:02 PM) Erm... my first Renault easily did 1000+ on one 50 liter tank. Diesel. My Citroen is around 700-800 km, again 50 liter. And now the Golf around 900-950 liter on one tank... 50 liter. All manual gearbox what? Really? That's insane. Then again, 50 litre tanks la.

QUOTE(nickerlas @ Oct 31 2016, 09:47 PM) what? Really? That's insane. Then again, 50 litre tanks la. Yeah, but C segment cars. The Renault was a Renault 19 1.9D sedan, 64 hp and no aircon. Then a Citroen Xsara 1.4 aerohack, 75 hp. And finally Golf Mk 7 1.4 with 140 hp. Your average Myvi etc. will weigh less. Usage that gets me to around 900 km is around 70 km highway at 130, then maybe another 15 to 20 through town with some traffic jam and stop and go. No aircon, but heated seats, heated mirror. Those also consume power. It's no problem to get the Golf to 350 per tank though... Just drive faster. This post has been edited by kadajawi: Oct 31 2016, 10:01 PM

I wonder why your FC is so much higher than mine. Is it the auto gearbox? Is it the driving style? Fuel quality? I am using E10 fuel, which is supposed to raise FC a bit, but costs less.
I think the main thing I do is avoid braking. Try to look ahead... if there's a traffic light, I'll let go of the accelerator instead driving up to the traffic light and then hitting the brakes... if I reach there late enough, the light may have switched to green before I come to a stop, thus saving fuel. Same thing on the highway, consistency is everything. I accelerate relatively hard, but shift early (not too early, so the engine doesn't get damaged), and then I maintain the speed.

Im using OBD2 scan tool to get the figure directly from engine. frankly speaking, that's quite bad. people says pv6 is a fuel guzzler but my pv6 can can get better fc than your 1600cc car.....I'm really suprised. maybe your engine need some retune?
