from what i know. Reliance is a franchaise. Like KFC or McD, but it's in the travel & service industry. Although the format and everything standard is the same. But its the boss or tawkey who own that certain branch that earns the profit. Thats boss also the one who decides u gget how much bonuses right?

Not only they like to change the mood, but they no trust other people. That's why everything also must go through them and cannot put a good working system in place.

I think they should improve themselves by looking around the business world today. Lots of changes and nowadays people talk about engagement, not merely on management.

Let me tell you my experience with them:

- Turnover rate insanely high. 90% people, like me, in there only for 1 year just to get it in the resume as our first job. Pay is so little that you'll get a heck lot of job offers from other companies after you complete that first year.
Those who remain are team leads and management staff that have a skill with ass kissing.

- There was one senior colleague who worked there for so many years. Later he developed terminal cancer and had to take a lot of leave to go for hospitalization and medication as well as to prepare for his inevitable death.
The company ended his employment after he used up his available annual and medical leave. So he was jobless and had no income towards the end.

- Most the people in there are really Chinese-educated. Bananas like me and my Indian colleagues cannot click with them. If you not Chinese-ed like them, you get push aside and treated like outsider all the time.
If you can't ching-chong, you can forget about any promotion.

- At their PJ HQ, their pantry is always kept locked and no one is allowed in except the designated pantry staff (who are also cleaners actually). More secure than Bank Negara. You can't even go in to get hot water refill for your tea. Have to give cup to staff for them to fill it.
You want a drink? Wait for the drinks cart to come around the workplace twice a day with hot flasks of sugar loaded Nescafe 3-in-1 and teh tarik. Diabetic? Too bad. You get better treatment in Pudu prison!

- During development, the central host server always run out of HDD space. So we stop all work while waiting for some miracle HDD fairy to come by and make space.
Management refuse to allocate budget to upgrade the IBM server. The budget for their marketing team is hundreds of times more than development team. Includes budget for wine-dining, golf course invites and all sorts of spending spree to win contracts.

- When they sent me(and other colleagues) to work at a client's office in Indonesia, we have to go in on a tourist visa. Not work visa.
The practice is that we just slip in 50K Rupiah note into our passport when we go through immigration and then put it into expense claims later.

I would like to share my experience working in a Chinaman Company:

1) Only SIX days of sick leave entitled per year. ( Is this against the labour law? Cause according to Malaysia Employment Act S60(F), Employee shall be entitled to 14 days of sick leave if working less than 2 year with the    company)
They only recognized the MC from their panel docs which all damn far from my house and you can't claim anything below RM50 for the medicine. If RM50.50, you can only CLAIM the RM0.50.

2) Annual leave (Only twice in a year which you are allowed to take annual leave during long weekend, EG: Thursday is holiday and Friday you take leave) & Reason for taking leave should not be personal matter or the stupid HR will question you like no tomorrow)

3) Compassionate Leave - 2 days ( This is really W.T.F, For example someone close to you died at 11.59 PM on Monday, they consider the 1 minute left to 12am as 1 day and you will only get one more day left on Tuesday)

4) Office culture is like hell, there are groups of people who like to look for trouble with others and the manager is sided with them.

5) Traveling claims ( For those who travel alot, you can only get the claim after 2 months and you have to fork out your own money first. For those travel few time a month are worse, you pay more than you can get back)

6) Maternity leave - Only those female workers who worked over 1 yr are entitled to take 2 months of paid maternity leave, those under 1 yr...please take the leave with no pay.

Once i find a better job offer, i won't hesitate to leave.

by the end of this year all companies in malaysia will be chinaman lol

it doesn't matter la where you work, everywhere in the world there will always be managers or bosses who have shitty attitude.. it depends on your luck too, some departments have very nice boss, some not so much.. all are same, whether MNC companies, local companies etc.. it's part of the job that you have to face.. just that if the boss is physically harming you or resulting you in emotional trauma then you need to gtfo..

Both. Not all but some female boss and chinaman company are good.
