hmm maybe its only me, becoz my way to keep system healthy, l do format it quite often, as for driver l barely hits problem except last time on ln2 bios 24/7 always update driver on it resulted it did not clean off old driver, crashing like mad

ah scary... i not yet format any my system(Rig or NB) just from original window 8 64Bit install and seem to be working (my Rig Bsod total 4 in 6month/ my NB 10+ bsod identify issues with Killer LAN chip set they tempted to crash if LAN connect to be under dual firewall e.g. at work Lan connector.. driver update issues kinda away..) Rig mobo bios is easy update... meanwhile NB.. if no issues better not touch lol.. what Msi site warning says*

lappys don need format, they can always factory reset, orginal windows recently BSOD & freezing happens more often on my system, suspect the ram, time to find blinks blinks ram

i realize the fan speed went higher and higher after i didn't touch my desktop for a few minutes/idle

Did you try to clean your fan first ? Do you update the driver recently ?

No i didn't clean my fan, as it was quite clean lol

You sure you are not using Beta driver right ?

Try to rollback to previous driver, if the fan still spinning at high speed during idle, try to clean your fan and reapply thermal paste.

wait 4 the flagship maxwell because that surely beats the titan Z a lot
