QUOTE(WiLeKiyO @ Mar 30 2014, 12:21 PM) You sure you are not using Beta driver right ? Try to rollback to previous driver, if the fan still spinning at high speed during idle, try to clean your fan and reapply thermal paste. i update using the geforce experience, i am not really sure, this is my first time using it, since it force me to use =_= okay, will try rollback to previous driver, but where do i get the previous driver? they have it on their website?

QUOTE(WiLeKiyO @ Mar 30 2014, 03:45 PM) Benchmarking, see how does your card perform. thanks again! btw, i rollback my driver and the same thing still happen, so i should start cleaning my gc? but it just doesn't make sense, cuz my gc temperature is totally normal, means it didn't get overheat or anything

QUOTE(marfccy @ Mar 30 2014, 07:49 PM) dont think its necessary when does the fan start increasing in speed? this should be software related prob try turn off most GPU usage programs and see if its persistent. i rmb my old GTX560 Ti reaching high temps when on Chrome only, apparently the hardware acceleration takes quite a toll on the card btw, i'm using msi afterburner to monitor my fan speed, so i realize my gc temperature would get higher when i leave my computer for few minutes, thus leading the fan to speed up also but when i move my mouse a little, and the computer detect it, the temperature would go down to normal again what's happening here?

QUOTE(marfccy @ Mar 30 2014, 10:28 PM) very odd but how high did the temps go? afaik, if the fan speed not >50% or temps over 60C i wouldnt worry so much, as nothing adverse will happen over the years or did MSI Afterburner set to some random fan profile? the fan speed does go above 50% as to compromise the temperature although now it seems fine, but i really scared that it'll spoil in the future
