This morning i have successfully deposited RM300 into ASM.

But i am starting to feel difficult to bank in, not because i dont have the time to try, but its because some of the banks which i normally visited here (e.g: Maybank especially) always want to introduce me the variable priced unit trusts.

They tell me to invest in ASN variable price funds, because they tell me that the returns are higher.. Well, although i tell them that i prefer Kenanga unit trust funds for variable price unit trust, they still insist me to invest with them..

Ended up, there are 2 branches that i did not planned to go in future. No choice..

For the past 2 visits to PM, the staff did not even enter my ASM particulars and she could tell me no free units available. For AS1M & ASW, she entered the infor to see if there were units available.

Is this something new for ASM or it has been like this since day 1?

Also, the ASX purchase forms I get from PM do not have AS 1 Malaysia option in the list to select. Why? Phasing out AS1M? Asked the staff and she said the forms are old forms! Ha.

Bank do try so hard to promote the asn... lol. And esp to those elderly. My parent is one of the example that kena. Lol. But only 100 units la. Lucky I stopped them. And yes, SC is 5%

hi i just found this thread, n through reading several pages.
what i saw ASB can max only 200K.

does any other ASx that can fit 300K investment?
lets say i start with 300K, how much profit i'll get at least.. in 7 - 10 years period.
why 7 years, cuz i'll retired at that time..haha

I will go for AS1M first before ASB2, since at least AS1M have track record.

Non-bumi here & I don't spend a lot of time. I'm not like some people who go to the bank on daily basis just to get some Amanah Saham units. I only try when I'm in the bank doing other banking transaction. u need proper planning & don't just waste time without any positive result.

Well, I think I should move to the next level.

I usually get RM100. So a big catch of RM5-10K will save me 5000/100 -10,000/100 = 50-100 trips! Assuming 1 hr per trip, that is 50-100 hrs saved! Ha. And also my petrol!

Instead of speculate how many % of Bumi holds ASM, y dun just try if u have passion to invest in fixed price funds

Via a sms from a friend in this forum, managed to get RM2600 ASM + RM200 AS1M. He got more than me as he was there earlier than me.
