But the aunty at counter say i cannot withdraw now cause my money will be lesser than what i just deposit 5mins ago.. why? she say this account same as saving then thi shld not happen ma  rclxub.gif

she say withdraw 5 years and above only worth it.. im confused..
then say 5% fees she charge me after i open only tell.. aiyooo...  sweat.gif

so 5% i pay annually?
*
Now I'm confuse wat u trying to say. "the aunty at counter say i cannot withdraw now cause my money will be lesser than what i just deposit 5mins ago" What she mean by that? rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Anyway the 5% is when u buy the units, not annual fee. It's Sale charges.

What she trying to say is if keep for longer period, then u can get some profit. because it's variable pricing fund, u can make some profit when the price move upwards. that's why need to keep for few years nod.gif

Cause I deposited RM10k but the amount shown in the book is lesser than RM10k (ie RM8k) then I ask why lesser then she say is because they charge me fees which she didnt tell me earlier

Then I say ok then I want withdraw now since you never tell me need charge fees then she say if I withdraw now cannot get rm10k can only get back rm8k

Why  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
*
It's because price (NAV) is 1.2078/unit. So if u deposit rm10k, u need to divide the amount with NAV to get the total units. in passbook don't have $$, only units. in the passbook only got 8k units nod.gif

the staff should inform u all the proper detail 1st.

QUOTE(w33 w33 @ Jun 25 2014, 04:06 PM)
I try to open ASM and AS1M but they dont allow but ask me open ASN3 saying is the same but now i realise it is not same at all.

ASN3 different is no guranttee dividend, need pay sales tax and not capital return gurantee!! So angry cause they never tell me properly.
*
ASM & AS1M are sold-out for non-bumi. so u cannot open the new account.

The staff should have told u before opening the asn3 acc for u.

what u can do is make an official complain to ASNB, telling that the staff "cheated" u by not providing proper explanation & details about ASN3 products.

Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), via Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), has declared an income distribution of 6.90 sen per unit for Amanah Saham Nasional 2 (ASN2) for the financial year ending June 30 2014.

The amount is slightly lower compared with the income distribution of 7.1 sen per unit announced in the previous year, PNB chairman Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid said.

He said the income distribution for the financial year ending this June 30 would involve a total payment of RM18.77 million, an increase of 48.9 per cent compared to RM12.61 million paid out last year.

Overall, Ahmad Sarji said the fund, ASN2 performed well throughout the financial year ending June 30.

Up to June 24, he said, ASN2 recorded a gross income of RM22.06 million. Dividend income from investee companies contributed RM7.36 million or 33.4 per cent of gross income, while profit from the sale of shares contributed RM13.50 million or 61.2 per cent.

The remaining RM1.20 million or 5.4 per cent was derived from other investments, Ahmad Sarji said.

QUOTE(w33 w33 @ Jun 25 2014, 04:38 PM)

say i put in RM10k now, then the dividend is 6% for 2014, 2015, 2016
then i withdraw on 2017, my average dividend will be:

Rm10k - 5% = Rm9.5k x 6% x 3 years = RM11,314

god pls tell me this is correct and comfort me a bit guys..
*
wrong calculation yawn.gif

8k units x 6% = $480/NAV = Total units in passbook 2014

for 2015,
balance units in passbook x 6% = $xxx/NAV = Total units in passbook 2015

for 2016,
balance units in passbook x 6% = $xxx/NAV = Total units in passbook 2016

6% is juz assumption only. NAV depend on market condition that time (can check on ASNB website) icon_rolleyes.gif

PNB President and Group Chief Executive Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman said the portfolio performance for the ASN2 was very encouraging and exceeded the key performance index set for it.

However, he added that looking at the size of the income, ASN2 had the distribution capacity of 17.5 sen this year, but only 6.9 sen was distributed with the balance reserved.

"We are reserving more this year to allow the fund managers to strategise the long term investment to ensure a sustainable income for the unit holders," he said.

Yes, when I saw the reserve amount they are keeping, I was asking myself "why so much?". I do not know what is their normal dividend payout ratio (e.g. REIT at >90% required by law).

Like I asked earlier, they have crystal ball which is saying bad time ahead? Ha.

I did some analysis some time ago. It says a peak somewhere in between Dec 13 & Feb 16 (a rather wide 2 yrs window) and then followed by a decline and trough.

[attachmentid=4029206]

PNB shares a similar view?

Cheerio.
*
I think PNB is expecting some "correction" in the market next year. u see now the KLCI almost highest level (with some "small" correction in-between). They expecting not to make much money thus using this year "reserve" profit to cover & maintain the 6sen+ divvy for next year. nod.gif

I'm not in KL btw.

2mr is Friday, hopefully not many people.

u need to be very patience when "trying" to persuade the staff to "help" u open the account. If the staff insist no units @ don't want to help then u got no choice but to try another branch/place. u got free time so u better take this opportunity to "try" your luck opening the account.

Managed to get some today. 1K, 3K + 1K for AS1M.

Think some more but I emptied my wallet. Pity!

Hope others also managed to catch some of the fish!

Cheerio.

P/S There was a chinese lady who came to my counter when my purchases were in progress and complained to the staff that she has been waiting for ages. I told her I have been waiting for some time too. That lady came back the second time and complained to the staff again about the waiting. Can see that the staff was a bit annoyed. It is people like this who is creating a bad relationship between the staff and ASX buyers. I tried to pour cold water to cool down the staff and the staff was very helpful with my purchases. Ha.

congrats bro rclxms.gif

Why the lady like that. for god sake people doing transaction, she come & "disturb" at the counter mad.gif If I were u, I told the lady to wait for her number/turn & juz don't disturb others in counter

Just for sharing in this thread lah...as it is not easy to see performances from all these funds (with prices adjustment, dividend distribution, SC charges, etc)

Thanks for reminding me about FSM... still have yet to do my analysis yet, I will get to FSM one day.
Do we have a thread for FSM in lyn? Or mainly ppl will interact within FSM?
Any good recommendations?

There are also some 0% SC performing funds too, I got one that fall under PRS.
Spreading my monies across various investment vehicles.
