Thanks for your help!

So far, looks like the ASNB population in LYN is more towards the higher end of the RM scale.

Will update the graph when I have 30, 60, 90 etc participants.

Interesting to see this:

[attachmentid=4010209]

AA  70% of ASW with < RM5000!

BB  ASM has highest % of people in the RM10,000 - 500,000 range.
Why AA? Higher dividend for ASW and thus AA?

Why BB?

Cheerio.

No Problem icon_rolleyes.gif

About ASW @ 70% below 5k. I can only think about few thing. It's mostly consist of "veteran" people who have used up the saving in ASW for their expenses. u know right ASW is the 1st scheme to open to ALL Malaysian in 1996. Another factor is that people open new ASW account by investing small amount juz to get the passbook. Later when they got time & money, they can "top-up" much easier compare with those without passbook smile.gif

The interesting part was why a retired policeman has such big amount of money????

Good to see some more taking the poll. 21 participants now.

Comparing the ASNB population here with the PNB, graph below shows the ASNB population in LYN is shifted to the higher RM end.

4 out of 21 with > RM500,001!

Hope to see more votes coming in.

Cheerio.

I concur.

Like what I have said before, since 2009, ASM, AS1M & ASW all started to give about the same dividend rates. That prompted me asking whether there was a change in govt or PNB resulting in a same rate policy for all ASM, AS1M & ASW funds.

Another thing I juz realized. the ASM AR 2014 don't have the so-called "reserved" money @ profit c/fwrd next year thingy? what happen to it? hmm.gif rclxub.gif

PNB President/Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman said that PNB has sold 703.4 million ASB2 units since its launch on April 02, 2014.

"This is a good reception, considering its size of RM10 billion. In the past, when we launched the product, after one and two months, usually about 200 million or 300 million units would be sold, but with ASB2, we have reach[ed] RM700 million units," he said.

He said that the scheme has attracted 39,649 investors, since its launch.

Maybe he failed his mathematics,

1) fund size RM10bil, only 703.4 million being subscribed, means 7% of the funds being subscribed only? Many private variable price fund, need to apply to authority to improve fund size due to overwhelming response, seems like this fund will never need to do so.

2) Fund launched in 1999, 15 years ago, means it needs 15 years to reach 700 million.  If only deliver the below average result, it will more likely to take another 15 years to double the fund size....
*
Actually it's kinda "good" response considering it's bumi only fund. If it's open to all, I think already more than 50% sold out by now (assuming no Racial quota) hmm.gif

The main thing is the dividend rate next year. If it can matched ASB, then people would give it a try. if juz like ASD dividend rate, then PNB can say bye2 rolleyes.gif

ASN2 divvy not out yet sweat.gif Variable pricing fund are not popular, that's why bumi only ASN & ASN2, Open to all (ASN3 & ASG) are still available until now. Few takers for it yawn.gif
