QUOTE(lucifah @ Apr 10 2014, 05:16 PM) if you see it that way, you're absolutely right eh got special reg form for ASB2? anyway, i got the ASB2 papers with me. later tonite take some pics and share with u guys. the form is a bit fishy to me since it asked some really irrelevevant question, like your income level and also your profile - are u a minister, senior govt office, royalty or majlis tertinggi politik so i like wtf? and also SUMBER KEKAYAAN and SUMBER DANA. unfortunately, they didn't put the CRONY source there. if not, i'd for sure tick that one I don't know about income level, but job they do ask it. if u working, student, housewife, gomen staff or private staff etc. maybe they wanna see if any PR members / YB apply kot, can use it as promo This post has been edited by davinz18: Apr 10 2014, 05:56 PM |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This week most agents /asnb branch are busy with ASB2 thingy. If you're lucky, they would layan u. if not they chase away u or give some lame excuses (to make u leave the branch) Some banks are having problems with the asb2 platform thus processing take longer time (normally 10min already finish reg new account) QUOTE(plumberly @ Apr 10 2014, 06:19 PM) I was surprised when I heard that in the BR1M application form, one has to fill in one's state and national electoral seats! Why? I did not know that BR1M is given depending on which seats one is in! the 1st BR1M are given according to state seats. different timing & dates for each state seats. remember we need to Q & take the voucher This post has been edited by davinz18: Apr 10 2014, 06:29 PM |

QUOTE(syler89 @ Apr 10 2014, 10:43 PM) Just wanna ask you guys, i've been depositing money into ASB trough online transaction. Is there anyway that i can view the balance to make sure that the amount really deposited into the account? u can only know your ASB balance when u update the passbook, no online viewing |

ASB loans u can take, but don't be greedy & take straight 200k when your salary/income so-so only. 1st take small amount like say 50k. u take huge amount loans, it can effect your credit rating.
just my opinion. your money your decision |

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Apr 14 2014, 10:18 AM) Wow! Thats a high interest rate. yup, it's quite high. but some people say 2nd year can use the dividend money to pay the loan installment. so u still profit So ull end up paying about 4.95% for an ASB loan and with the BLR expected to go up soon by 25 basis points, we would be looking at BLR 6.85 - 1.45 = 5.40%. Assuming ASB2 dividends are 7.70%, your nett profit is only 2.3%. Darn! |

QUOTE(plumberly @ Apr 14 2014, 12:36 PM) Yes, that is looking from portfolio perspective. The biggest mystery in malaysian investment But if you consider only the return, then ASB2 (if it performs as well as its older brother ASB) should be better than AS1M by about 1% higher from past ASB & AS1M performance. With my non bumi eyes on, I feel that ASBX (bumi only) tend to do better than ASX (bumi and non bumi). I wonder why? Change my contact lens to see better? Ha. Cheerio. |

QUOTE(plumberly @ Apr 14 2014, 06:28 PM) Diplomatic way of saying it. Ha. wow, u really did some analysis there Decided to do some analysis to get a better picture for myself. Sharing 1 [attachmentid=3930385] With RM100,000 each in ASM, ASW2020 and ASB in 2001, ASB has delivered the highest 13 yrs later. Honestly, I thought the difference would be a lot more but it did not. So, ASM, ASW & ASB are in the same ball park in return. I know some will be coming back that I left out the bonus % in ASB. To me, ASB is worth it if one makes use of the bonus as otherwise, it is only slightly better than ASM and ASW2020. Sharing 2 [attachmentid=3930391] Surprised that ASM & ASW2020 have done better than ASB in some years (2001, 2002 & 2008, bonus % excluded). Note that since 2009, with some hidden hands in the system, ASB has consistently done better than the rest by about 1%! Maybe someone up there realised the need to have a higher return for this special fund for the special people. Ha. Wonder whether there was a change in the top govt or PNB in 2008/2009? Cheerio. ASB paid quite excellent dividend few year after launch, then slowly dropped. I donno if got any management change in PNB but what I know got some "political" change in April 2009 |

QUOTE(MGM @ Apr 15 2014, 03:27 PM) For those who don't take loan but are conservative instead of putting money in FD they get better returns in ASB cos they have this 'privilege' (but not so lucky if they are non-bumi, conservative and retired and FD is one of their choices). The bold part I agree. Why help those already rich to become richer with "tongkat". Should help those needy & middle class people who are suffering silently After 44 years, schemes like these should be open to the needy (same for house buying, discount should be given for houses below certain value but in Johor a bumi lot bungalow of rm4mil get a 15% discount of rm600k!!) Banks get 4.9% but they borrowed funds (thru FD, CASA, ...) so net returns not that great but banks have the volume. If 'factor in inflation at 3.0% (I think it is higher) annually and the consumer's RM worth in ASB secured by financing from these banks are actually -0.2% worth less than the year before', so instead of helping bumi investors they are actually victimised? QUOTE(plumberly @ Apr 17 2014, 02:56 PM) Rather quiet here. It's all depend on your luck, Timing & units availability. Not everyday u can get Any update from those topping up your ASX? For me, very little, only RM 30 and RM50 for ASM. I guess there is a monthly cycle on the units availability, people selling theirs at the end and start of the month.
