CIMB and other banks already declared in their internet banking that :-
ASM, ASW, AS1M are fully subscribed for non Bumi
Only AS1M are available for Bumiputera.

So the banks are not to be blamed if those insisting want to try and error.

QUOTE(lucifah @ May 18 2014, 11:19 AM)
the problem is there is NO more fund available for no-bumi

it is only available when someone sells their units
*
I'm looking at the overall eco-system rather than just the banks' internet banking systems.
I understand most of those mentioned above are fully subscribed.
But what stopping them from letting the unit holds to try for available units online than going to the agents/banks?
The online system can also show "Sorry, no unit available at the moment. Please try again later.".
It is just a replacement of what is done at the agents (trying your luck) and doing it online instead.
Maybe I had over simplified the case, but in the essence that is what improvement, efficiency and better customer service that I am thinking of.

it all comes to dollars and cents

banks work on profits

ASNB transactions do not give them much commission / profit compared to their in-house products such as loans, fd and others

and it is not as simple as that - even ASB & AS1M transactions are not "immediate" transactions

u need to wait 1 full working day to see the money reflected in your ASB account - and no, there is no online option to check your ASB or AS1M balance. u need to go to the office and update the book physically

yes, indeed. trying another alternative way is a really good choice. the main factor now is I do not have any extra time to deal with it...

Now getting diversify in FD to increase fluidity...

ASNB is not hungry, they don't have to do all the above when they don't have enough to sell.

One has too many funds available and unlimited quota to sell.
One has too few funds and no more quota to sell.

So what do u think?

I belived the reson is not in the availability of fnds to seel. The wbsite can alwys show no more funds if thre are none (as to pre the cmments by another forumer earlier in ths thread). I still believed it's the security, as in wnting to see the unthlder in persn. For if a unitholdr has deceased, thn Pnb wil kick-in nothr set of rules without an improper relativ manipulating the sell via the net usng the deceased's log-in and password details.

ASNB has hard time to sell their variable funds, their performance are not on par with the industry, even they sell by knocking door to door also no takers. whistling.gif

I think many ppl complain here for not able to purchase the fixed price fund online (which in fact these fund can be purchased online if those funds are not fully subscribed).

It is good to invest if the sales charge is 2%....
5% is too high, assuming current KLCI market is 1880 points, u need the index to increase to 1,974 points, to breakeven.

how about ASN3, is it any better compared to the ASG, or as good as the fixed price products?
CIMB seems to actively advise customer to buy ASN3 recently.....

ASN3 is a balanced fund.
ASG got 3 sub-funds, each fund has different weightage for equity exposure.
All funds perform more or less the same. But now ASN3 has sales charge promotion of 2.5%
