Here is a very holistic and complete review of Nokia X from the website Unleash The Phone http://unleashthephones.com/2014/03/14/nokia-x-review/
Here is the video review if you prefer it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5r_n8Dri1p0 To sum up the review: While the Nokia X does run Android, it’s UI looks and behaves completely differently, in strong contrast compared to your average Android experience. As such, most users buying the Nokia X “because it runs Android” might be a little put off by the UI. And it’s definitely not meant for powerusers. At the end of the day, the Nokia X is a well constructed smartphone that has an straightforward UI, a nice display and integration with Microsoft’s services, Nokia’s Maps and Music services, as well as a lot more apps than Windows Phones currently have. By the way, anyone knows how to embed videos on forums? This post has been edited by leongseng123: Apr 22 2014, 01:06 PM |

What I love about the OS of Nokia X is the metro style home screen tiles and fastlane which is made up of your past, present and future. But interestingly, this article here said that "Nokia discourages “Metro style” apps for Nokia X." http://www.nokiapoweruser.com/2014/03/03/i...ps-for-nokia-x/
Nokia X is an android phone afterall but the borrowed UI element like tiles from windows phone is very much appreciated. |

But interestingly, this article here said that "Nokia discourages “Metro style” apps for Nokia X." http://www.nokiapoweruser.com/2014/03/03/i...ps-for-nokia-x/ nokia restricts devs deviate from pure android but nokia app itself has WP style. dont know y its important coz devs n user didnt share same opinion wid nokia. they even encourage rooting that'll lead further from WP style. doesn't really matter anyway. it comes to this coz user wants more friendly ui. we sure dont mind as long as its practical to use. Nokia X is an android phone afterall but the borrowed UI element like tiles from windows phone is very much appreciated. i can see y nokia decided so:- Pure Android of Nokia X This post has been edited by alam fb: Apr 22 2014, 09:44 PM |
