3G only supported in sim1 while sim2 only for 2g. If you want to access 3G data for sim2, the only choice is to swap your sim2 to sim1 slot...hope it helps. smile.gif

To make phone call, u may choose either sim 1 or sim 2. The moment u select or key in a contact, it will ask you which sim you want to make the call.

Is it custom rom? If yes, better stay away until it stabilized. Most I tested were bugs error. To be honest. Stock rom is the best hitherto. Nokia has done a great job in it when you unbox the Nokia since day1. I will recommend everyone not to simply flash custom rom..KISS principle n don't fix a thing if it's not broken... icon_rolleyes.gif

No... It's a mod made by zeppelinrox on XDA... icon_idea.gif

I love the NOKIA X range! Nokia lost its hold on the mobile market when it focussed all its resources on the Windows platform but the Nokia X range heralds a new beginning for Nokia.
The Nokia ingenuity that we have come to love over the years coupled with android goodness in the Nokia X range is perfectly geared for emerging markets whereby the name Nokia is still wildly popular. Even in Malaysia, the phone will do well because it has all the popular android apps at ridiculously low prices.
I hope Nokia will soon release full fledge android phones under the drool-worthy LUMIA range. A LUMIA 1020 running a full fledge android would likely be an iPhone killer!
Welcome back Nokia!

1. Ensure that your device is rooted and install Google Apps on your phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2665401

2. Install the Android SDK and get ADB working on this link: http://developer.nokia.com/resources/libra...ment-setup.html

3. Then download this two files: V6_SuperCharger_for_Android-Update9_RC12_Test_6.sh.pdf and SuperCharger_Starter_Kit_RC12.zip (do unzip the contents of the file)

4. Download Script Manager from Google Play and run the contents of StartMeUp.sh as a SuperUser (the skull with bone icon)

5. Install BusyBox using the script, and run the V6 SuperCharger script as a SuperUser. Follow the instructions (you may need to tweak some of the settings on the script for best results)

6. Now connect your phone to the PC with USB debugging on, and download this file from this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1914159 (Ultimatic_Jar_Patcher_Tools_RC6_ALL_DEX_Windows.exe.zip)

7. Rename the file name to Ultimatic_Jar_Patcher_Tools_RC6_ALL_DEX_Windows.exe (without the zip extension), but if that doesnt' work, disable 'Hide extensions for known file types' on the Folder options settings on Windows. tongue.gif

8. Run the exe file, and follow the instructions. Services.jar should be patched easily.

9. Now, use Script Manager and go to the file /data/99SuperCharger.sh Tap on the 'sh' file, and select 'Run on boot' and 'Run as Superuser'

10. Reboot your phone and V6 Supercharger should be installed and works properly. Note that V6 Supercharger script may cause problems (such as device freezes) and it might be wise to perform a backup of your phone's content. You can also use the 'Unsupercharge me' option on the Supercharger script to revert everything back. icon_idea.gif

Hey guys, for those loyal lowyat readers who are always up to date with the website's latest post (referring to myself XD), you guys should know that Asus is going to release the Asus Zenfone series to Malaysian market at the end of April 2014. The Asus Zenfone series comprises of Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5, Zenfone 6 which cost RM299, RM599 and RM899. The Asus Zenfone 4 JUST COST RM299. No kidding here. Just RM299, cheaper than the Nokia X by RM100. I will just roughly cover the specs of Zenfone 4 here. Specs: 4 inch WVGA screen with gorilla glass 3, dual micro-sim, 8 Gigs of internal storage which can be bolstered by micro sd card up to 64 Gigs of storage. It has 1 Gig of RAM and is powered by Intel Z2520 1.2 GHz Dual core. It is currently working on android 4.3 jelly bean with zen ui which will be updated to android 4.4 kit kat in the future. It sports a 5 MP camera without flash on the rear and a 0.3 MP front facing camera. So what do u say guys, will this new phone be a serious competitor to the android powered Nokia X in the budget market segment? Will you buy the Nokia X or the Asus Zenfone 4? (I will posting a comparison of Nokia X and Asus Zenfone 4 in a few days)

The most safest place is the Nokia store actually since they will check the content first before releasing them. But you can download from other place such as OneMobile and Google Play which are not installed. If you really wanna root ur phone and install Google Play, here is the link:

It is running on v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean).

Nokia X is based on Android Open Software Project (AOSP) and we are using the version with the broadest mainstream reach. What’s most important is that we are bringing something very unique with this family: the combination of great design, access to a world of Android apps, plus signature Nokia experiences and the most popular Microsoft services.
