Actually both 5G and 6G are based on the L15 engine. Basically they are the same. Officially, Honda stated that 5G needs to service at 5k interval.

To me, as long as you're using a good quality oil, 10k service internal is not a problem for 5G.
*
agree, but to enjoy the 5 years warranty just have to stick with the 5k service interval even using full syn oil mad.gif

I'm using this now for my car

1. Got BT for music and phone call (only problem is I've got no idea who called since I can't seems to sync up the phone book, probably my phone retarded)
2. Decent microphone (can put wherever you want - I put mine near the sunshade). So far no problem for the caller to hear me.
3. You need to factor in the price of the HU cover as well, should cost around RM150 - RM250 depends on quality and shop. The shop I go don't have tha latest version for City 2012, so have to use older model. So the color looks a bit lighter compared to the original.
3. The HU itself is around RM500 when i purchase mine. I top-up a bit and get the reverse camera too and the steering adapter for the remote. Overall I think I paid around RM850+ for all including the HU cover. Can't remember exactly how much.

Been using the player for half a year now, so far so good. Got all that I need, and none of the crap. Very sleek and simple too (no stupid color blinking light everywhere). The interface is quite responsive as well, no lag at all except when changing the player mode (BT, Tuner, USB etc) got 1 sec delay.

Some photo of my actual unit.

See the miss matched color?  tongue.gif  (I'm planning to wrap the HU cover with the 3M vinyl sticker, make it a bit darker)

They did not do a good job when installing the unit, but not very noticeable from the the driver seat. I don't really care. Haha.

Hope this help, I'm sure they're tons of other brand/model out there but this one seems to be the most value for money that suit my needs.  icon_rolleyes.gif

*
yes, quite surprised that cc6 actually quieter than xm2 (based on my experience)

Anyone pump ron 97?.

I had pump few cycle and omg, difference is so obvious. Ron 95 petronas pro drive, when accelerate engine noise is noisy, press harder its scream even louder. High speed 140kmh feels out of breath already.

Put ron 97, power delivery so smooth, no longer feel sluggish, engine roar when accelerate is remote/lower. At 140kmh feel still got power left for push for top speed not like 95. Mileage is improve by at least 50km also.

Eventhough expensive by 50 cent but mileage is more. So not that far expensive considering value its bring.

I think our city is like compulsory to pour in 97, otherwise acceleration is so sluggish.

Anyonr have same though?
*
i dont use petronas, i use shell normally as i feel the difference for both ron 95.
not regularly use ron 97, only use it for long distance drive, did feel the exrta power, less noise and not that sluggish, but mileage cant comment much since im not really tracking it.

i googled abit. and based on previous ppl posting here.
you may need to replace the whole panel.
i checked some youtube for some car oversea. they really replace the whole panel for similar thing.

however, extra knowledge. i did get my gearbox light bulb changed. the outside workshop guy do it for free as i did other maintenance there.

Just did my brake job yesterday which include:

i) Replace front and rear pads with Akebono brake pads (lubricate the brake slots with a bit of rubber grease to eliminate possible squeaks);
ii) Replace the front brake shims;
iii) Relube the front and rear caliper pins with rubber grease; &
iv) Replace the brake fluid with DOT 4 (Bendix fluid).

Now my brakes are whisper quiet.

how much is your mileage?
did it at sc?

I stop going back to SC knowing they charge very expensive on brake job and they don't do it well. My mileage is about 113,000KM

I bought the parts myself and brought it to a mechanic to do the replacement. Parts all in cost around RM340. Labour is RM120. Total around RM460.

Still much cheaper than SC considering I replaced the both front and rear pads, serviced / lubricate the caliper pins and replaced brake fluid. The job took around 2 hours  biggrin.gif

After driving the car for 1 day, I can say Akebono pads is a good replacement as it is very quiet. Stopping power, I would say the same as original Honda pads.

thx for sharing.
can share which shop you bought the ori part?

I would like to provide an update on the above. Previously I've sent my car to 2 workshops to repair the stuck caliper. The following is the chronology.

i) Went to workshop No.1 (DT_X). Inform them of the problem and without even performing troubleshooting and proper inspection, they disassemble the caliper and just re-lube the pins. I was charged RM60 for a service which did not resolve my problem. moneyflies.gif

ii) Next day, went to workshop No.2 (W_i Car Care Network) near PJ Oldtown. This time, I purposely informed them to remove and rebuilt the caliper as I know it is sticking. Eventually, they said they had serviced the caliper and everything was fine but I know it wasn't as 1 wheel is still tighter than the other side (Have more resistance due to brake sticking). Told them this and they said it is normal. Drove for 15km and brake started overheating again. Brought the car back and was told it was due to the warped rotor and brake pads. Unable to do much unless I replace these parts. I was charged RM150 for yet another service which did not fix my car problem. moneyflies.gif

iii) Finally, went to another workshop at Sri Damansara with my car limping with overheating rear brake due to stuck caliper. Initially, they release the pressure and the wheel can spin again. But I informed them this will not solve the problem as the right rear wheel is still tighter and have more resistance than the other side which they agreed. So they disassemble the caliper, inspected it and found the piston to be slightly pitted which look something like below:

user posted image

They said the piston condition wasn't that bad but enough to get it stuck. Thus, they did an overhaul on the rear caliper and it seems to be working pretty well now. No more overheating brakes. Best of all, the charges was very reasonable. Much cheaper than workshop No. 1 and No.2.  thumbup.gif

If you guys face another headache problems on your GM2 / TMO, highly recommend to visit this workshop. They specializes in servicing / repairing Hondas. PM me for information if you need their assistance.
