Just to share with you guys on Honda oil filters.

I have 2 Honda oil filters. I suppose both of them are fake but they are of different gred. The left light blue is of lower grade and the right dark blue is better grade.

The rubber gasket on the left one is shorter whereas the right one is thicker to ensure better seal. IMHO, most of the Honda oil filters sold at our local spare parts shop are imitation filter. These imitation filter have different grade too. If you want to opt for imitation filter, get the dark blue type as they are overall better built. If you insist on using original filter, then you need to buy them at Honda authorized stockist.

Fake Honda filter lower grade (light blue can): RM8-RM12
Fake Honda filter higher grade (dark blue can: ~RM15
Original Honda filter: ~RM29

The internal of both these filters are about the same. I see nothing different in terms of paper filter quality and its anti drain back valve.

Anyone has facing aircond prob time que up like drivethru about 5 to 7 minute or like heavy traffic. After that when driving about 5 minutes it cold back. Once change reckon compresor back at early this year
*
Your aircond issue is quite common for all cars. You should let an aircond mechanic to perform the checking. Experience aircond mechanic will instantly know the problem.

The common issues that I can think of are:

i) Aircond condensor fan is not spinning when compressor kicks in.

ii) Low on gas.

If atf oil below minimum line at  dipstick can i just topup? Just add at dipstick place right?
*
Yes you can top up through the dip stick.

However, atf level shouldn't drop. It is either previously, the mechanic did not top up to a sufficient level or there a leak somewhere. Usually it will leak from the flywheel oil seal.

The same side spoil again and change it at the same workshop RM300 . NTN Japan so lousy kah and my concern is can last for how long this round? Pray ......
*
Wheel bearing should be able to last for years. In your case, 6 months is a bit too short.

Could it be due to bad installation or other suspension component that are faulty that causes wheel bearing premature failure?

Coincidentally, lately during later part of mco, when i drive abit more, still not alot though as i still work from home, im beginning to feel that i can here wuwu sound, or the tyre sound from front more obvious. Not sure if its my front wheel bearing. Have not change it before in almost 9 years. Changed rear about 2-3  years ago. Tyres are all quite new. Maybe max 2 years
*
You will know it is a wheel bearing issue when you jack the car up, shake the wheel at 9 & 3 o clock, and 12 & 6 o clock position. If it moves and there's play, your wheel bearing is bad.

Hey guys,
I wanted to use a dashcam in my car but found that the cigarette lighter which provides the power is not working.

Has anyone here had the same problem ?
If yes I'd like to know how you guys resolved it.
*
Could be a blown fuse which caused the cigarette lighter / accessories socket port to stop working.

Sometimes, it can also be the USB hub which converts to the acc socket that isn't working.

Yeah I found these videos on how to replace the fuse, seems simple enough.

Wondering if anyone here has tried it before:

Would it be logical to change all 4 bearings in one go? Or it seem wasted on this move? My bearing also make noise after MCO, but not sure from which wheel.
*
No need to replace all 4. Just replace the one with noise. Bring it to a reliable workshop, they will know which wheel bearing is faulty.

Thanks. I just think if the life span is similar. Then it may save the hassle to send to repair again. Experienced from my other old car.
Of course, it's a big buck. 😓
*
Depends on what part. Wheel bearing life span varies a lot. So no point swapping them all at once. On the other hand, parts like spark plugs and coil plugs need to be change in a set. Same goes for tyres, shock absorbers and brake pads and rotors.

Do you think we can use the carb cleaner the clean the dirty oil at the hose B-1 ?
*
No need to clean hose B-1. That hose isn't covered with oil. It's function is to allow air being sucked into the engine from the air filter box into the breather tube inlet.

I've removed the breather tube (item 5) which is also connected to B-1 and there's no oil stain at all.

do you know hoe to differentiate the genuine oil filter and the fake one ? there are many part no for the honda oil filter out there  so confusing
*
I think the original filter will have a orange rubber inside the filter housing. So far I see fakes, all are black in colour.

If you really want original filter, try to get them at Hingan Jalan Pudu.

How's the fuel consumption like for you guys these days? Especially city drive? Mine goes as low as 7.5km/ sometimes 😓

I drive very conservatively. Averaging about 11.5km\l.

That is purely driving within Klang Valley area (PJ area).

car has nyuk nyuk nyuk sound when going over bumps..not sure where it comes from
car is 7 yrs old

besides the listed items above, how to know if need to change lower arm & stabilizer link?
*
When there's a visual crack on the lower arm and stabilizer link. You can see the cracks.

Normally if lower arm koyak, you can't get the alignment straight.

Hi, just wanted to ask about the tyre pressure for CC6. I heard some people saying that the tyre pressure has to be lowered? I am currently following the pressure guide where 220kPa front 210kPa rear
*
220 / 210 kpa is fine as per the recommendation.

You should listen to the manufacturer instead of some people.

I dunno bro. But considering outside workshop ada check and pandai pandai add, i think its normal. Lol.

By the way, that day check all my service receipts from official sc all those years ago. Maybe not useful for anyway one.

I just realize SC helped to change fuel filter towards the end of my 3 years. Probably around 50k km then. Didn't realize it and go ahead and change again when mine is around 110k km as per recommendation from here. Could have delayed it. Haha.
*
Talking about fuel filter, i think no harm changing it every 60k.

Mine was changed once at 40k and then subsequently at 100k.
