just recently, i heard my friend said absorber can be serviced. (he's driving myvi).
my question is, is absorber serviceable in general, and if so, is city's stock absorber serviceable?

QUOTE(Thrust @ Aug 30 2018, 11:52 AM) Probably your friend had changed to aftermarket serviceable shocks. Better to buy new rather than service as City shocks absorbers aren't that expensive anyway. You mean City ori shocks not expensive or aftermarket?

recently just cleaning my throttle body in workshop, mileage 106k. feels the car more responsive, but at the same time rpm shot up quite high t(to 2k) while i start the car, but quickly move down.
the car seems to glide faster when put on D without stepping gas pedal also.
is this due to the cleaning, or could be due to the throttle body relearn?

QUOTE(Thrust @ Sep 26 2018, 07:30 PM) Most workshops out there can change brake fluid for you easily. Price is also not very expensive, should be less than RM100. Yeah. It's not expensive. Just wondering if I need or should do it.

dammit guys. i think i'm having gear slip now when coming back from work. symptom is this: car seems to be jerking switching from 1st to 2nd gear (not sure if i reached 3rd gear since its raining and i know got problem. dont want drive fast). tried revving from 1st to 2nd gear, took a bit time, and jerk when switched. tried reverse, then re-engage D, also jerk once i release brake pedal 10km, since last ATF fluid change on Jan this year. 2011, 108k km any advice? QUOTE(Milo_O @ Oct 17 2018, 09:17 AM) Check the solenoid valve. Cleaning it may help but very very low possibility. Flush the AT and change with a new one. Change the ATF filter as well. Possibility low. Gearbox interior oil seal faulty. Overhaul the gearbox Good luck brother At ar automan now. Went to official sc today. Say la no apoointment, need to put car there a few days. So much trouble I rather come here. Let's see what the Foreman say. But, the car doesnt jerk today though I drived quite a while to a few places.

QUOTE(Milo_O @ Oct 17 2018, 10:32 AM) One thing to note is that, (happened to my other car Myvi). If i really warm up the car properly (~ 30 mins), there is no jerking. I checked and read online that is the oil seal inside the gearbox fully "warm up/expand". Foreman couldn't find the issue after test drive. And it doesn't happen again. Advised to drive and get back to them if it occurs again. He did mention that one possibility is ignition coil problem. BTW, I took the opportunity to replace my serpentine belt. Labour rm40. They charged rm140 for original belt. But I bought mine from spare part shop near my area. Brand is bando. Rm35. This post has been edited by cempedaklife: Oct 18 2018, 08:38 AM

Hi, Anyone can advise me on this? I'm looking to replace all 4 absorbers. So the workshop has quoted me. I've already decided to get the absorbers on my own before going to the workshop to replace. Included in the quote are: 2x Front mounting 2x Front bush rubber (think this means lower arm bush?) 2x rear bush rubber My question are: 1. Rear does not have mounting? 2. Is the mounting looks like this? https://www.lazada.com.my/products/kayaba-f...15335.html?mp=33. Does the mounting fit even though I will be using different brand of absorbers from the mounting? 4. How does the front bush looks like is it this? https://www.lazada.com.my/products/kyb-tmot...64635.html?mp=35. How does the rear bush looks like? Can't seem to find online. My intention is to get every part myself, and ask the workshop to install. This post has been edited by cempedaklife: Oct 18 2018, 01:25 PM

QUOTE(Thrust @ Oct 25 2018, 07:52 PM) I am also going to replace my absorber this weekend at DTOX. They are having promotion to replace all 4 shocks + 2 front bushing at RM750 (all included). The brand they are using is KYB Excel G. Is the promo details available online? Though I'm pretty set with shokz. The thing is I wanna make sure I source all the parts outside before going to workshop. Thrust, previously I checked back old posts, are you the one that DIY change atf filter? You need to remove the engine filter box to reach the filter right? That looks like a tough job, at least for those not experienced This post has been edited by cempedaklife: Oct 26 2018, 08:41 AM

QUOTE(Thrust @ Oct 27 2018, 12:33 AM) It is quite easy to remove the air filter box provided you did not install a ultra racibg strut bar. I feel anyone can diy and replace the atf filter. its quite an easy job. Are those the only two bolts you need to remove the air filter box? What tool are you using? Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(coo|dude @ Dec 31 2018, 03:12 PM) When I drive over most humps with 4 persons load, my City always almost certainly scratched its bottom. Is this an issue with the suspension? quoted from what foreman in AR AUTO MAN, this edition city memang like that. mind you, i drive with 2 persons, most bump in parking lot i also cant clear, have to turn the driving wheel a bit and drive real slow. while i see other ppl go over it with quite some speed and no issue.
