Nice! RM10 only to change ATF, that's cheap. Doing it at home is messy. Sometimes I wonder why I bother to DIY when labour is so cheap in Malaysia. In countries like US, changing ATF only they will charge like USD80 which make sense to DIY. LOL...
*
Generally outside its Rm15 at least for me for engine oil change or atf oil change. Combine both together sometimes get further discount. Like rm25 like that.

You can refer to the owner's manual. There is 1 fuse box in the engine bay and another right under the driver side coin compartment.
*
Thank you. I know more or less the location near the driver side. Reaching out to it is a different story but for now i dont need it.
As for the engine bay, i couldnt find it, though i notice where is ECU now as the result of exploration laugh.gif

as for the issue with my aircon, based on observation and finally i'm able to pop the hood when it happen this time. when it happens, the magnetic clutch is not engaged for a period of time. it happens about once a week now. and for 1 minute or so. and then its back to normal.

was thinking could be the relay, but based on symptom, it should be off all the time? could be my battery is weak.
at this moment, i'm thinking to remove the clutch and clean it.

i could have gone to an aircon shop, in fact i found one in kl that is highly recommended by someone i trust and also based on online feedback, but nowadays dunno what happens. i feel like DIY or at least explore abit myself, not just on car.

perhaps middle age is catching up with me.

Your case is most likely due to the clutch gonna give way soon. Time to replace the clutch.
*
replacing the clutch, oem, rm280.
its weird, one of the test is to knock the clutch when its not connecting. i knock and then it doesnt work, the foreman knock then straight away work.
i think coz i no dare knock harder, but i see he knock quite soft also.

You mean you replaced the clutch pack?
*
Not sure what you mean by that but it's the magnetic plate, etc. They removed the whole compressor, including applying compressor oil, vacuum out the gas and fill it up again.

Hi Bro. Its called ming wah air con, its near quill city mall in kl. Jam packed shop. Various people of all walk of life patronise this shop. Check out in fb.

But I will suggest you to check out if its not working, if the magnetic clutch is not engaging.

Anyone have such issue before?

How many litre of ATF fluid you've replaced?

Are you using DW1 fluid?
*
According to ar man Foreman, exactly 3 bottles is needed. Yes. Using dw1

Lately as well. I noticed my two front doors creak sometimes when open. Thinking to apply oil to the hinges.

I have both wd40 and waxco silicone spray, which one is better for this?

By the way, I have no problem with my windows but watched a YouTube showing applying silicone spray to it, that's why I bought it and try.

Can feel windows rolling much smoother.

Also applied on battery terminal, also feel diff, better but this might be placebo effect, Windows definitely not

So I have been googling and researching around. Could it be my engine mount issue?

I have no vibration, or so i thought.

When going through bump slight faster or when more movement of car nose after bump, sometimes, there is sound like something big shifted softly from engine bay. No metal to metal sound. So I didn't bother much. This is going quite a while ago.

As for the grinding, this usually happen when I accelerate hard, and usually from the a stop. If I carefully accelerate soft, it doesn't happen. Which might explain why I just detected it recently as I usually accelerate slow. It was only recently I have heavier load and thus I need to accelerate faster from stop.

Update:
Bro cempedaklife, my air con problem as expected, its because of magnetic clutch.
I didn't go to ming wah as its quite far from my place, manage to find another air con shop at Pandan Jaya.
Pricing wise more expensive, total damage 360 sad.gif
*
not that far also ma..still within kl. haha.
i rather go far a bit as long as people recommend. and its really good. but thats me la.

not saying the one you change no good.
as for price. still ok la..somemore both of us replace should be not ori already.
so maybe your part higher quality than mine.
who knows.

so i took out my MAF sensor to clean it with MAF sensor cleaner. looks clean to me beforehand but since i have removed it, might as well clean it.

however, i saw reddish/pink oil on the outer plate of the MAF sensor. i suspect is the K&N air filter cleaning kit's oil. not sure if there is any impact but i have been using washable air filter for years.

This looks like the "rubber" between the rear view mirror and the windshield. But I'm not sure.

I was using K&N previously but swapped back to paper filter knowing the oil will stain the MAF and throttle body.

Noted. Thanks. But since already bought it, abit sayang juga. Perhaps I will use until the cleaning kit depleted, then I will siwtch back to paper filter.

The one with the open hole is the part where it holds the bar of your rear mirror. The side with the closed hole is where you jab it against your windshield.

So I did it right lol...but it looks kinda weird, is it some sort of vibration absorption?
*
Not sure but i believe one of the use is that when you accidentally hit your mirror, it won't break as easy as there is something holding against it with the windshield.

My car is 2011 so I think my setup a bit diff. The bar of the rear mirror looks diff from mine.

But yeah. Its something like that

Edited: oh wait. This is 2011 thread. Haha. But I think my placement not so high. I'll check tonight.

Went to ar man auto. The Foreman test drive with me, but extremely hard to replicating somehow until the very end.

He mentioned that its related to aircon system and suspect its ac magnetic clutch slipping during the engaging moment.

That was before I tell him I changed it recently.

No choice have to live with it, unless I wanted to change again. Said oem might have issue, since might have problem matching up with compressor.

Want to be sure, have to change with compressor as a unit. I'll just let it be for now.

He said its when the aircon is engaging but weird is that it always only happen (but not happen all the time) udualy when starting from car stall position

Wahhh.... I need to check mine as well, I also just changed oem magnetic clutch. @bro cempedaklife, mind to elaborate further ? What kind of grinding sound ? Can listen with radio on ?
*
well, if you dont realize it, its good news then. haha.

i changed quite a few things almost separately as preventive maintenance.
within a year. changed:

serpentine belt
atf filter at engine bay.

the last change recently was the ac magnetic clutch since sometimes it doesnt engage.

i only noticed it when my mum is here and we went for a trip, means heavier load, and i off the radio as that's how most ppl ride in a car.
mostly happen when accelerating from a stop at traffic light.

if lower load, lesser change happening. never happened once car is smooth. reduced when no on aircon (maybe no need revving too much) but it happened before.
though foreman said its the clutch but i'm not 100% sure, maybe 90%.

its a soft grinding metal to metal sound coming from engine bay, cant say passenger side or driver side. for a second or so. mostly when shifting from first gear to second, or during second gear.
