QUOTE(PPZ @ Jun 22 2018, 02:03 PM) Guys, is it a must to have to use this "Honda High Performance Engine Cleaner"? Just now went to AR Autocare and their service is quite good. i'm planning to try out liqui moly instead Chat with some of the people working there and one of the guy told me to use this engine cleaner thingy. He asked me to put into the fuel tank before pump petrol and it will clean the engine. Does it work? If yes, what does it do to my car? Better performance? https://lazada.com.my/products/liqui-moly-f...36226.html?mp=3 my car is almost 7 years now, just thinking perhaps trying it out and see if improve/clean. doesnt matter if not effective, dont make car worse then okay already haha. |

QUOTE(PPZ @ Jun 23 2018, 07:57 PM) Does this truly works? My sister city has been nearly 10 years and over 100k km. Have to try out first. At least it clean the engine and improve performance and fuel efficiency? As per what Bro thrust said. Im only thinking to use it since my car is almost 7 years. Does it work? It's not really my concern. If it cleans even 1-2%, without me feeling it, that's fine. Since cost is not really a concern at this moment. As long as it doesn't make things worse. Depending on how I feel after using it, I will see if I will continue using it from Time to time. I haven't even buy it yet at this moment. |

QUOTE(Thrust @ Jun 24 2018, 12:10 PM) Perhaps you should try to clean the throttle body also. You'll be surprise how much it helps in making sure your engine idle runs smoothly. There is a throttle cleaner from liqui moly as well. I suspect it's the same application? But I cannot understand why same application but can clean diff part. But yes I also plan both throttle and injection cleaner |

QUOTE(outpace @ Jun 27 2018, 01:12 PM) Thrust, do you use washable drop in filter? washable with water, need not to oil type, what brand if you have used before? i'm using one from works engineering.feel car more responsive after changed it, and after every clean and oiling around 5k km. but there is an argument that it let more air flow, but maybe more susceptible to let smaller dirt into your engine. so depends on your own judgement. |

QUOTE(outpace @ Jun 27 2018, 04:23 PM) thanks, I guess oiling is necessary to block smaller dirt too, which I'm lazy to do.. lol i dont think you will know, anything officially from honda, they won't reveal the supplier/brand, so is original plug iridium plug? they just going to slap "honda genuine part" on it |

QUOTE(PPZ @ Jun 28 2018, 04:07 PM) depends on how dirty your filter is. more dirty, less air for combustion, less energy.furthermore dirty filter means your engine more susceptible to dirt going in. btw, any one changed absorber, what brand around how much? these few days feel there is springy sound. |

Is it advisable to also change my engine oil (with my own engine oil) and do alignment balancing at ar auto man as well? While I do the fuel filter change.
Cost wise okay? |

QUOTE(Thrust @ Jul 20 2018, 12:15 PM) no need to go so far just to change engine oil. As for balancing and alignment, better to it at tyre shop. I going there to do the fuel filter. So depends on advice, see if want to do it all st one go or go back my place later for alignment and engine oil changeYou know how to change fuel filter? Its quite a hassle job. |

QUOTE(Thrust @ Jul 20 2018, 08:12 PM) Just changed today. 104k km. I changed becoz of the dicussion here, Bro. Including you. Haha. I haven't change serpentine belt yet though. The Foreman advise to do throttle body clean up. Say he notice rpm go up down when test drive. Though I never notice. This post has been edited by cempedaklife: Jul 21 2018, 03:34 AM |

Is it necessary to service aircon even though aircon no problem and still very very cold?
I think my last service was back when my city is 2 years old. Now 7 years. |

QUOTE(Thrust @ Oct 17 2017, 08:23 PM) Encountered it before. I used force to snap it open and something broke. Its a piece of plastic that actually makes the door knob opens with a tighter feel. Once it snaps, I can open the door already with no problem encountered lol..browsing old post, happened to me over last weekend. now the door handle feel macam no "soft close". |
