Oh wow. Thanks guys. Especially the screenshots. Really helps a lot. I also lean on bad installation as of now coz. Since the installation few years ago, my gut feeling has always doubted the workmanship. Just that I went ar man auto so many times they also didn’t detect. But then again. Really need to turn steering and watch it only know.

that's great thanks!
i have also asked from the babysitter uncle that used to own a spare parts shop.
he also said its not normal. it could be installation, it could be absorber mounting underneath broke. or he said there is a bearing as part of the assembly, which may have defect.

sigh..guess i have to head to AR Man auto this evening.
considering i have to go interstate to in laws house tomorrow after so long. sad.gif

just for the record, when i replace it, i only use after market shocks.
all others like mounting, bush, i uses ori bought from honda authorized shop.

Wah. Vmag really cheaper ah? won't potong right? coz i'm familiar with AR Man.

its 10km more but only 5 mins further from google map. its doable, just that I'm not familiar. but if both you guys really suggest VMag over AR Man auto, I will give it a try? Confirm you both prefer Vmag?

as for the absorber previously, the absorber itself is much more expensive original, hence i go after market, yeah its stiffer but the good thing is, i can clear some of the road bump that i go through daily without scrapping, original one always scrap.

but all the other parts its like (100-rm200) more if use ori so i stick with ori.

i was thinking about kyb too but that time shokz by apm got promo damm cheap and another forummer here is using it and say its quite ok.

Confirm VMag is cheaper from Ar Man workshop.
Problem is i am staying at Cheras nearby to one of the Ar Man workshop (Ar Di Auto Workshop at Balakong).

At times, i went Ar Di Auto but i just found a new workshop at Seri Kembangan (KC Auto Workshop) that also handle quite a lot of Honda cars.
*
wow thanks for another confirmation.

btw, any pointer if i need to on my laptop at vmag? i don't suppose they have space for it right?
i don't need power plug or internet.

This sub forum is quite dead also since many already changed car..

Now only you, me and 90boyz are active here..😆

got a few more, i think, not as active. i remember got one just bought a couple of years back, dunno izzit pikafaded
just got back from vmag.

overall speaking damm satisfied with the service. thanks for the recommendation. a bit regret not going there earlier these few years when i keep seeing the name recommended. its about the same duration for me to travel to ar man and vmag actually. I'm using mrr2, so I'm in the middle. but with vmag, though the distance is longer, i can travel in mrr2 longer and faster so about the same duration.

was lucky a bit i guessed coz these 2 weeks again feel aircon slight less colder at noon, just slightly, then when i was travelling there in mrr2 @100kmh, i also feel a bit warm with dial at 1.
first thing he say when open the hood is that my ac fan not running. and i usually check it from time to time lol.

show him my absorber, went for a test drive with him, at the end he said not urgent, if serious, the gap would be like 10mm but he said might is maybe like 2-3mm so that's okay not urgent. but ac fan motor is urgent. he started dismantling without telling me price laugh.gif, but i have good faith with all of you lol. then while waiting for part, he dismantle my throttle body biggrin.gif was thinking i don't need la, i clean maybe 3-4 years ago and 30k km before. so i ask him how much? i scared no money, then he say aiya nvm this small small only.

then he proceed to clean my engine bay (i saw he also did it for the customer before me). and i have been dying for someone who know how to clean engine bay to clean mine. so i let him be.
then he proceed to ask his worker to fix some hoses better. (not sure what it is).

in between that 2 hours plus, learn a lot from him, and i feel he's trustable, he chui sui for a long time coz i was the only customer there since the previous customer, he check many parts for me (cursory) and notice i replace this and that. he said only one engine mounting usually got problem but i replaced all 3. he ask me whats my interval of oil change and said mine too frequent. wasted la. etc etc.

in between he did say the ac fan motor is rm3xx. when he finished everything and go for a test drive without me, i go search a bit shopee, the price seems fair la rm330 on shopee.

end up, i was charged rm270 for ac motor
engine throttle clean and relearning, replace fan motor rm80 (mind you, AR Man charged rm80 for throttle clean alone).
oh. and engine cap. rm32.

i always thought the oil near the cap is due to foreman carelessness and spill some while filling up my engine oil. he said coz the rubber within cap old, and loose already, makes sense. again, didn't tell me the price but I'm okay with it.

all in all, very very happy with the service. his part price not so far from other genuine stockist as well.

Does Vmag provides basic diagnostic? Like perform a check on the whole car to see which parts need to replace/repair
*
I think around that 2 hours session he already did a lot for mine without me asking.

Perhaps if you know some area you want him to focus you can tell him too.

I did ask about my radioator plastic, he said it was okay too.

Heard frm the owner claim on the overhaul cost him 5~6k
*
Yeah. Considering all the labor and parts, worth it. But not sure with the whole car put into equation, it’s worth it or not. But then again 5-6k is like a year installment of a new car. If can go past, which it definitely would, it’s worth it.

lol .. speaking of the gearbox now it gives some problem on last Sunda like when 1st gear shift to 2nd gear and the vehicle "jerking" but after 2nd to 3rd and so on the "jerking" sensations no more .
The 'jerking' effects only lasted for 2days and doesn't seems to encounter anymore .. suspect the ATF went dirty since already 26k KM on the belt.
*
I got twice like too. The gearbox like dont want to change gear. Changed atf and seems fine. That was quite some yearay ago.

Will continue monitor

Hey guys, how frequent do y'all check the air pressure for spare tyre? I have never done it since I got the car about 2 years ago. A bit scared that the tyre explodes while pump in high pressure gas.
*
i only pumped maybe 5 times in my 10 years.
which is bad. but i also have same concern with you. the pressure stated is 420kpa which is a lot.
I'm also worried lol..

but the boss in vmag said its okay, he even said 450kpa laugh.gif

To be honest.. I also scared to pump the spare tyre as the pressure is very high. If it states 420kpa.. I will pump 400kpa.

Should be enough to get the tyre up and running.
*
and i remember asking since our spare tyre is 10 years. whether to replace it, but it seems like its hard to find in the market. with the same money,
i concluded that its better to buy a tyre inflator and pump the punctured tyre and try getting into the nearest workshop to get it patched or replaced.

i was researching but didn't proceed and have yet to purchase one.
there is xiaomi one, which is a brand i trust for everything in general but there are much more cheaper version too.

I think no need to replace it.. It should be able to last quite a long time since the spare tyre is not exposed to the sun.

In addition, in case really need to use it.. drive at a low speed to ensure safety.
*
I'm more worried that it explode when i refiling it than anything else, like needing to use it laugh.gif
