How did you wash your condenser may i ask ? Using normal water with hose ?
*
i bought a solution something like this.
https://shopee.com.my/AIRCOND-COOLING-COIL-...9167.9109746516

dilute it in a spray bottle I got from Mr. DIY.

https://s.lazada.com.my/s.XBs4X

the first time I did years ago wasn't effective. but this time I dare dare spray and its much better now.

The solutions also used by those car aircond repair to clean off the dust and grime which accumulate over time.

Yeah. So i just spray to whatever i could from below the H logo. And from the small gap when open the hood. The radiator is behind condenser so i try not to spray on the radiator directly.

Once done let it sit for a while and rinse of with water using same method

I noticed dried up bugs but not stone. Spraying this helps.

hi got some pics to show? a bit noobie on this
*
Sorry i dont have. Coz hands were dirty and using a new phone lol.

But its something like this
https://youtu.be/bQ-Gld-FH5M
Nvm the language.

The sprayer better one that can spray sharp and straight rather than spray wide. MR DIY orange one works pretty well.

I tried with water only years ago. Not effective. Must get the solution. Its not about how hard you can spray. Once the solution hit your condenser, the chemical reaction will take charge. The pressure applied during spray is more important during rinsing i suppose. Hence the Mr DIY pressure sprayer come in handy. Remember to rinse well after.

Thanks bro. 4L is too much for me. Let me see if i can get a smaller packaging.
Thanks again.
*
I just took a look at mine.
i bought this brand.

https://shopee.com.my/Seagull-Aircond-Chemi...6899.1547139319

coz I remember mine is alkaline and most now is acid, not sure why.

its too much. but its way cheaper than asking someone to clean. hence I bought it lol.

and if you are worried about sprayer water on your condenser. think about this.
what do you think will happen to your condenser when it was raining heavily and you are driving?
did you notice, your car wash guy also spray your condenser with pressure spray? mine did.

though i still don't dare to spray to much of water with water hose. so i still rinse with the pressure spray bottle.
only thing to consider is, rinse as much as you can so that the chemical does not stay in your car.

this is kinda what comes out for me.

thanks for your sharing. feel wan to diy too to save some bucks
*
no problem bro! for me not just about saving bucks, its about knowing the car and trying out stuff myself too.

QUOTE(Milo_O @ May 27 2021, 03:27 PM)
Thanks bro. I am not worried about pressure washer spraying directly to the condenser. I used to use the normal water hose and spray directly to the condenser.
But again, my hassle is just the packaging which is 4L !

Let me see if i can buy some from the air con workshop around here.

BTW, did u dilute the solution before using it ?
*
try asking aircon workshop maybe a good idea. but I don't prefer dealing this way.
i did try to find smaller package previously but it turns out that the cost is more high for those smaller package. quality better konon lol.

big bottle, but cheap. so depends on how you think. if you think you can clean it every year, at any time you like. its a cheap price to pay actually lol.

i did agak agak dilute. first time years ago coz takut ma. so dilute a lot. maybe that's why not so effective. don't see much dirt or black.
this time I added more chemical coz more daring already.

the bottle should advise you on the range of dilution.

btw, remember to do this one the road. not your car porch. it will make the floor damm dirty. i did it once in my condo multileve parking lot. it took about a year or so for stain to be gone. coz no water source, no drainage. i did it on the asphalt this time and has water source.

mine still the same old spare tyres.
every month will take it out for crack inspections later wash it and coated it with tyre cream and put it back into the rear boot
*
wow..you took care of it...
in my 10 years I only used it once.
and I pumped may 3-4 times in it lifetime.

I very scared when I need to pump it, coz spec say 420kpa if not mistaken, and the usual tyres only 220 kpa.
thinking what options do we have.
- still use it? but scared explode when I need to pump
- buy 2nd hand tyre
- buy new tyre

Yup.. but I doubt the will change it.. even if they do, it might be pricey.
*
but why won't they? its like any normal tyre no?
was even thinking if luck has it, can find 2nd hand same tyre size, would it be better to replace with that. or stick with the one we have now.

edit: ooo.. i think I get it now. its half size tyre, not ordinary tyre.

then perhaps getting a portable tyre pump is the way to go.

Wanted to check with you guys, have any of you replaced the lower arm already?
*
Not for me. I purposely ask foreman to check all my undercarriage previously. They say still ok. But did show me my stabilizer link rubber loosen so i replaced that.

But previously i already took the trouble to buy at205 to spray. Now still got abit left. May want to spray it all when i got time this year

My steering will wobble a bit when go over uneven surfaces.. i think some of the bushing are slightly worn already.. so thought maybe time to replace.
*
Mine was when corner, feels car sway abit more. Then i didnt say anything and foreman point to me. I googled. It matches with bad stabilizer link bush symptoms so i have it replaced. Since then no more such feelings

I will just replace this filter first as it is a simple DIY job now at 121k.

ATF i will replace at 130k.

i always thought atf spill is unavoidable laugh.gif
make sense also..coz i remember foreman also charge rm15 if im not mistaken to replace this.
i replaced it together with atf change.

Hi everyone, my city mileage already clocked more than 200K. Sent to SC for service today and the SA advise me to change the gearbox/engine mount. They quote me for +1K for the parts. So I'm planning to search the part externally from SC just to compare the price. Any recommended spare parts shop or mechanic in Seremban area?
*
Buy parts separately from honda ori stockist and pay for workshop labor.

A ori set of 3 mounting is rm650-700
Labour was rm60 per mounting in KL for me previously

Thank you so much for the recommendation. Yes I did look up the 100k scope, but before this was I going to SC and IIRC they said the 100k scope will cost about RM 1k lol.
*
1) Engine oil and oil filter;
i think you know the price
2) Iridium spark plugs;
i bought rm200 NGK iridium spark plug from lazada donkey years ago, may not be best option (if there is fake) but i used for years so should be ok.)
labour shouldn't be that expensive, should be same with labor of changing engine oil or around there.
3) Serpentine belt;
i bought bando brand from local parts shop when i don't know yet to get parts from honda genuine stockist. its rm35, again run for years, so far so good. might be better you get genuine one
should be same with labor of changing engine oil or around there.
The below is my recommended added parts to change:
1) ATF oil and its external filter; oil rm22 per bottle, you need 3, external filter is rm85 2 years ago, both from honda genuine parts store.(this one better find honda specialist, i ask my neighbourhood workshop about atf filter, they dunno what i talk about lol)
2) Clean throttle body; labor rm140 about 2 years ago (this one better find honda specialist)
3) Clean MAF sensor. buy MAF sensor cleaner clean yourself, totally worth it. either get liqui moly (https://shopee.com.my/Liqui-Moly-Air-Flow-Sensor-Cleaner-Car-Care-(200ml)-4066-i.39369127.1189526249?position=9) or CRC (https://shopee.com.my/CRC-Mass-Air-Flow-Sensor-Cleaner-Spray-11-Wt-oz-05110-i.312896830.8618561815?position=8)
i got my liqui moly for rm25, i have no idea why it was so cheap at that time, I've been eyeing it for some time.
