QUOTE(LittleBear @ Nov 11 2015, 09:42 AM) I've actually tried using after market brake pads (brembo for rm110 front). The result is not pleasing. The brake pads are noisy. Ended up changing it back to original pads at Honda. I don't mind buying from Honda stockist, that's what I plan on doing anyway but I'm not going back to Honda SC to do it. Their labour charge easily triple the amount of regular shop. Actually the price is slightly more expensive only if compared to Honda stockist. |

Got mine for RM648 or so. The steering control is supposed to be plug and play but since I don't want them to cut any wires, had to add some sort of harness (RM30+) so they can just splice the wire in the existing connection.
Best bang for your bucks I think, plenty of reviews online for the player. Got everything I wanted (bluetooth, handsfree kit with mic, dvd, aux, usb, reverse camera connection). The interface is pretty smooth too, no lag between touch and user interface. Oh and the HU case (RM250+).. |

QUOTE(Aiwen85 @ Mar 11 2016, 04:33 PM) I'll add some photo soon, shop is in Klang. Shop name is SC CAR AUDIO ACCESSORIES SUPPLY. You can Whatsapp 016-369 9716 (Joan) for details.Just some stuff to take note. 1. As usual they try to sell me tons of crap (speakers!, voltage stabiliser, carpet and other accessories but just politely decline if you're not interested). 2. Their workmanship is not the best but its not bad as well. Just a bit rough I think, and I hope they did not forgot any clips for the dashboard. So far no rattling sound so finger crosses. Haha. 3. They only got the Honda City 09' double din bracket, so the colour does not match with the new year 2012 City which is darker so the button really stick out.. I'll share some photo to show the difference. |

QUOTE(Thrust @ Mar 11 2016, 09:07 PM) Yeah the stock HQ is pretty darn good, but this one is not bad. I'm quite happy with mine, a bit less bass but I think we can tune the EQ. Your mileage may vary though since it is very subjective. My ears can't really tell the different between the two HU.The main benefit is having Bluetooth connection so I can listen to Spotify on my phone and use the steering control to change song. That alone is worth the upgrade IMO. |

QUOTE(mytaffeta @ Mar 15 2016, 10:48 AM) if you are into audiophile, voltage stabilizer is worth to invest.. it help a lot to boost your speaker ability.. i have 1 installed in my car.. other than speaker, ur headlight become more brighter.. Not much of an audiophile but I did think about installing it, however after looking at the VS, it look really fake. The word 'RAIZIN' is faded and the packaging is not very convincing so I decide not to install it for now. Told him maybe later. Haha. |

QUOTE(pekak07 @ Mar 24 2016, 02:37 PM) Mechanically I don't think there's anything you can do easily, but maybe some soundproofing might help? I've added autofoam to my car and some basic soundproofing to the hood years ago so I never really notice the sound when I'm inside the car. 1. Soundproof the hood 2. Soundproof the firewall 3. Inject some autofoam or somthing similar around the engine bay area |

QUOTE(busta_dude @ Mar 24 2016, 03:50 PM) I also remove the key hole assembly myself. Then go to the advertisement shop (usually do banner, signboards, bunting, plate number) ask them to make 1 plate that only match the key hole. also ask them to make the 2 screw hole so that after u remove the keyhole assembly, u can rescrew the hole with the plate. After that make the plate number. Make sure the base plate cover the key hole. Put the 3M automotive double sided tape to seal the hole after sticking the plate number from water leakage. Then there u go. Nice and unnoticeable changes. The thief also cannot open the boot as no mechanism can open it up from the outside. U need to open the boot from the driver side latch. A little bit hassle but no more heart pain. Wow, so unlucky timing.. P/S : Need to remove the trunk key assembly when I mistakenly locked my only key inside the car at hometown. By default you can't lock the key in the car. But mine is special case. How it can happen? Let me share as now I am free. I unlock the door, by default our door will auto re-lock and rearm alarm after 30seconds of no door being open for security reason. But I am so damn precise, on the 30th second I go open the door and the car already trigger the lock without I notice, I drop the key in the car and close door and go back in the house to pick up my phone. Once return to the car, there goes my key in the car and the car locked. So one way I remember is the thief always go through the trunk. So take the flat screw driver and hammer. My friend knock the hole and turn a bit, I force open the trunk. 2,3 times try, then the trunk open. But my key assembly gg liao. As my car is E spec, so I can reach the lever to flip the back seat and go in the car and reach the key. The next day I do the above. Thats all from me. Sharing is caring. Can you share some photo how's your rear plate look like now (feel free to black out your plate)? I might do this before the key assembly got ruin by those damn thief. |

QUOTE(pekak07 @ Mar 31 2016, 12:51 PM) No idea actually. I used a K&N drop-in filter before. Never really feel any difference. Haha. The image I shared is the bolt-on supercharger kit from SpeedWork and it comes with the K&N pod filter and Hot Bits Exhaust system. For around 12k~13k you'll get an additional 30hp. |

QUOTE(pekak07 @ Mar 31 2016, 03:02 PM) Try to change with K&N air filter, drop in will do. Probably the cheapest option you can start with.QUOTE(Johannas @ Apr 1 2016, 07:04 AM) Did my 65k services at honda SC last week. Was coaxed to perform their engine oil treatment for RM90. Tried googling but couldn't find anything much about it. What is it for actually? Is it required to keep our car running smoothly? Never cared for any of these treatment since 99.9% is just snake oil. Just ignore it. If Honda think its good for the engine they would have added that in the manual. These service center need to make extra money, so they will push a lot of optional item at you. Engine treatment, windshield wiper treatment, etc etc. I ignored every single one of them and only replace/service the one mentioned in the service manual. QUOTE(shahrilidzwan @ Apr 1 2016, 09:29 AM) anyway, rm1k for the compressor should be reasonable right? No idea how much it cost, never had to change mine yet *touch wood* but yes generally compressor should last quite long.yeah still disappointed cause i expect the compressor should last longer huhu |

QUOTE(secondrate @ Apr 8 2016, 04:08 PM) Thought maybe can just remove the cover but probably need to solder the LED. To me not worth doing because the LED will be on all the time so it will kaput again eventually even though the LED is only a few sen. Just sometimes wonder if the aircon is on or off la. Yea, I just leave mine on all the time. QUOTE(xin @ Apr 9 2016, 02:29 PM) http://www.lazada.com.my/12v-21a-dual-usb-...ck-2764132.html Thanks, have to find a shop to install these. QUOTE(nike89 @ Apr 10 2016, 11:46 PM) The USB need to get power from somewhere I guess. Unless can tap into the 12v outlet. I really have no idea. LOL.QUOTE(secondrate @ Apr 11 2016, 05:22 PM) Why not get the new Mi Car Charger? 2 USB slots with fast charge 3.6A/2.4A (and also Android Quick Charge), all metal construction for RM 35. Received mine today from Xiaomi Malaysia SOLD OUT already.. hahahttp://store.mi.com/my/item/3160900001 Now so many to gadget plug into the 2 slots. Drive recorder, phoness, tablet etc so having 2 is not enough. And I think it looks nice if the USB sit flush with the dashboard instead of sticking out like most car charger using the 12v. |

QUOTE(secondrate @ Apr 12 2016, 04:18 PM) Haha yeah, I got 2, 1 for each car, luckily. Damn nice feel for the price. Just FYI in case you want a non-invasive solution. Just the head with a LED ring sticks out, I'll try upload a photo later. That would be great, if it does't stick out too much maybe I can consider it (after they stock up) QUOTE(mytaffeta @ Apr 12 2016, 06:24 PM) |
