Sending my car for service.. 120k. Their labour charge is enough to do another service outside.
Any good workshop near Serdang/Bangi/Nilai that I can send my car to? Mostly is around Klang Valley, that's a bit too far from my place already. |

QUOTE(Thrust @ May 12 2016, 01:39 PM) Ya, Imagine you perform aircond service once every 2 years. Cost to do so is about RM300-400. By the 6th year, you have saved about RM1200 already. Can use the money for aircond repair later. Any idea what exactly happen during the aircond 'service'? They clean the unit and add more gas? |

QUOTE(mobeus @ Jun 10 2016, 12:03 AM) how much typically absorber and absorber link cost? Why? did you hear knocking noise? Sometimes I heard knocking noise when I ran over a rough patch of road. Not sure if its my imagination or what, coz seems to happen randomly.the tyre shop says my front absorber and absorber link need to be replaced |

QUOTE(mobeus @ Jun 13 2016, 09:42 AM) because i went to tyre shop for tyre rotation and alignment, the shop says my absorber link already 'goyang' and my absorber seems to be leaking (the shops demonstrate when he touch the absorber it's oily) Hmm.. interesting. Maybe ask Honda service center to check on your next service to confirm then do outside. he quotes absorber link for 130 each and absorber 250 each but not sure what brand. well, i'm a bit skeptical whether the absorber and absorber link is indeed to be replaced or it's just their way to fork out more money from me. huhuhuhu. i may need to check with other shops to conform it, maybe at the ar man autocare at ampang honestly, other than the 'nyek-nyek' sound particularly in the morning, i'm not sure whether my absorber is in good condition or not. Got my airbags replaced yesterday. Took 1.5 hours. Feel a bit safe now (maybe just physiological. haha) |

QUOTE(TZ1234 @ Dec 8 2016, 12:17 AM) My case is different. Cold start not a problem at all. Same here, cold start perfect every time. Stop at petrol pump and try to start car got 50% 50% chance it will fail to start. Only if I stopped for 5 minutes or so, fueling, atm, etc. The car became hard to start at first crank. Have to take out the key, turned in acc, and there you go. Though not happened frequently. Heard that's norm for this gen city. Anyone have same issue? QUOTE(Thrust @ Dec 8 2016, 09:17 AM) Claim with Honda? Every-time I told them the problem they just clean the battery terminal since they say cannot replicate. Its very hard for me to replicate as well since its very random. QUOTE(jenli_84 @ Dec 8 2016, 09:52 AM) The starter motor normally is a huge ass motor like this![]() |

QUOTE(ruffaz @ Dec 11 2016, 10:56 PM) im thinking of changing stock HU to the one with bluetooth. any recommendation for decent one? state the price too. I'm using this now for my carall i need is just bluetooth for music & phone call + good microphone location for phone call. no need to repeat many times when on call i heard got model that can put microphone behind steering? that's even better! ![]() http://www.sony.com.au/local/product/xav-68bt 1. Got BT for music and phone call (only problem is I've got no idea who called since I can't seems to sync up the phone book, probably my phone retarded) 2. Decent microphone (can put wherever you want - I put mine near the sunshade). So far no problem for the caller to hear me. 3. You need to factor in the price of the HU cover as well, should cost around RM150 - RM250 depends on quality and shop. The shop I go don't have tha latest version for City 2012, so have to use older model. So the color looks a bit lighter compared to the original. 3. The HU itself is around RM500 when i purchase mine. I top-up a bit and get the reverse camera too and the steering adapter for the remote. Overall I think I paid around RM850+ for all including the HU cover. Can't remember exactly how much. Been using the player for half a year now, so far so good. Got all that I need, and none of the crap. Very sleek and simple too (no stupid color blinking light everywhere). The interface is quite responsive as well, no lag at all except when changing the player mode (BT, Tuner, USB etc) got 1 sec delay. Some photo of my actual unit. See the miss matched color? ![]() They did not do a good job when installing the unit, but not very noticeable from the the driver seat. I don't really care. Haha. ![]() Hope this help, I'm sure they're tons of other brand/model out there but this one seems to be the most value for money that suit my needs.
